How much for a switch!14 Feb 2008 17:28 GMT18
So,  I get home from a nice long holiday in the Far East and get into the
Landy and it starts first turn of the key, even though it's -2 today...
But...
No indicators.

if you miss the ability to use the right leg, and you dont have the
power in your arms to drive an 109s3 ex airforce,

101 Crash on Sailsbury plain. Clearly an accident waiting to happen and
proof if any were needed that just because someone owns a off road capable
vehicle it doesn't mean they know how to drive it.
Tire wear/rotation12 Feb 2008 20:19 GMT12
Hello all.  Another querry about my wife's 95 Disco 1.
A little over two years ago we put new tires on it -- 235/70R16
Pirelli Scorpions.  We also had a front end allignment done with the
tire mount.  They are awesome tires and I love them -- performed
No more Old Sodbury's Sortout apparently..12 Feb 2008 18:37 GMT15
Looks like Old Sodbury's Sortout at Newbury has been a victim of its
own success, traffic problems appear to have made it no longer
worthwhile, but there is talk of several smaller more local events
instead.

Stupid Indicator problem sorted11 Feb 2008 19:52 GMT2
DiscoII
Warm weather, indicators work fine. Gets a bit colder and a five second
delay. Gets really cold and a twenty second delay - great when you want to
change lanes in a hurry.
Clutch gone AWOL11 Feb 2008 19:43 GMT6
Marge let me down today - had to call the RAC.
Noticed going down Whiteladies Road the clutch was biting lower & lower.
It recovered to near normal, until I got to the end of the road, then
pedal all light and couldn't de-clutch. Tickover at the side of the road
Pay and Play Yesterday11 Feb 2008 16:33 GMT9
Me and Bec went to Devils Pit yesterday.
Had a good day, busy though. The site feels really really small after
our visit to KORC!

Apology ( sort of)11 Feb 2008 12:20 GMT5
I suggested in a recent post that replacing a Disco floor was not too
difficult but time consuming. I should have added if you have a heavy duty
towbar, which was fitted by someone with lubricatophobia  then it is a first
class tw*t of a job just to remove the fuel tank. I'm sure ...
19J seized water pump bolt11 Feb 2008 01:11 GMT2
Slightly complicated story.  My 1990 Defender 110 19J was recently
swapped for a 200Tdi.  I had no plans for the old engine, so I started
stripping it and selling bits on ebay.
My son (like father like son :-) has just bought a 1989 Defender 90
Rear ended - how hard to change a rear bumper on a disco111 Feb 2008 00:13 GMT9
Bugger, rear ended in the snow last week by a thoroughly decent young
chap who was mortified and is doing the decent thing.
Luckily it's only the bumper that's damaged, the steelwork and end caps,
so I'm going to replace with a HD all steel one - myself.
Should I Sell the 90?11 Feb 2008 00:11 GMT23
Should i sell the 90?
Ive seen a cracking disco that D44 built thats for sale..
More than tempted...
Ive never had a disco :)
Owning a Landrover is like . . .10 Feb 2008 20:32 GMT8
. . . a little boy with his wellingtons on splashing through puddles and the
grown-ups don't mind!
This pearl of wisdom from my wife who doesn't understand me. Very perceptive
though I must admit!
