Discovery Insurance for 20 Year old son31 Jul 2008 20:11 GMT3
Can anyone recommend an insurer who would allow my 20 year old son to drive
my 1996 Discovery 300tdi?
I'm with Direct Line at the moment and they won't do it until he's 21.
Thanks

Gresham Family tragedy takes a twist30 Jul 2008 19:17 GMT154
Don't know if you all remember the sad story that broke earlier this year
about the Gresham family and the tragic accident that cost 4 kids their
lives? I know I contributed to a fund for the family.
Just seen this today...

VAGUE STEERING ON TD528 Jul 2008 15:57 GMT12
My steering has become very vague on my TD5. Its clocked up 85k
without too much trouble.  The steering box doesn't have excessive
play and I've just replaced the damper.  I've got 18inch rims on.  The
car in general is well maintained and in very good condition.
Freelander Audio System28 Jul 2008 12:27 GMT10
I have found an interesting problem with the freelander (yet another
one).
If I fade all the audio to the front, I appear too loose all the bass,
Fade it to the back bass comes back.

haunted speedo -latest24 Jul 2008 08:06 GMT3
Just to remind folk Miles the 300Tdi Disco has the electronic speedo which
is driving me nuts as it suddenly jumps into high speeds while the car is
standing still.
Replaced the  speed transducer which didn't make much difference

Defender 200TDi thermostat lower housing needed23 Jul 2008 21:45 GMT3
Hi all, I failed to get the stud out of my thermostat lower housing so
am now looking for a second hand one to purchase.  The dealer wants £95
+ VAT so I'm looking for options!  I'm in the Swindon area but am
obviously happy to pick up postage.
H/D Series Half-shafts23 Jul 2008 21:44 GMT3
Does anybody know of a supplier of heavy duty 10-spline halfshafts for
Series Rover axles? I'm sick and tired of snapping the ones on my
recovery truck whilst towing. This is the third set in 500 miles.
Thanks
