I'm pretty certain that Defiant's (1990 disco) xfer box is now on its
way out, and I reckon my quick fix would be to swap it for a different
unit.
Now I know the one thats in there is a 1.22 - but what are my options?

It was cheaper for me to buy both a nearside and an offside outrigger
(Brtipart) but of course I have only used the offside outrigger.

What are the options on transfer boxes?
Pretty sure the centre diff is about to give up the ghost on mine -
its a 1.22 coupled to an R380 on a 1990 disco (oh how much smoother
the R380 is on the motorway - but I digress)

I've picked up a mark 1 which has been converted by some plod to NA from the
EFi V8. I'm trying to figure out the best thing to do with it as it's
currently a royal PITA.
I'm thinking either sort it back to EFi or swap out for a deisel motor.

I've often wondered about doing this, but is it worth the effort?
If it is worth doing, can I do it by simply removing the wiring
connector - the screws look a bit rusty to me.
