Looking at buying a rear crossmember (with extension) for a 110 from
Simmonites (Bradford).
They are the cheapest I've found - anybody had any dealings with them?

My Disco 300 Tdi seems to be eating intercooler hoses.  I am now on my
third elbow (the flexible hose at the turbo end) and have also had to
replace the straight connnector at the intercooler end.  Anybody got
any ideas why this should be happening?  There is a little bit of oil

Hi all! I have a 200TDI Defender with an LT77 gearbox that is usually
impeccably behaved (yes, it is a Land Rover). Driving  it today on road at
30mph I slowed to turn left and  it suddenly refused to engage or disengage

Ok, so I bought a Disco, but I've got two problems.
1/ How much fuel do you have to use before the gauge drops from full?
2/ Is there a known problem with the locks and in particular the ignition
switch lock on N reg Discos?

Finally got my diff done ...
Got a donor axle complete from a rolled Disco that had only done 48k
... mine has 117k on it, all works well and sounds great.

I'm just replacing my solex CD175 carbs with SU's and need some advice
about re-connecting the vacuum advance pipes. On the solex there were
2 connections on the carb (on the inlet manifold flange) top and
bottom, top one went to the "vacuum delay device" then to advance

I have a Disco with td300 engine, I told you can turn up the fuel pump
and get more bhp, is this true and is it worth doing given mpg,
performance etc?

e.g. is wet better than dry, does wet recycle the grit (dry spreads it all
over the damn' place)...
that sort of thing.
