| Help needed - bleeding heater/coolant | 31 Oct 2009 17:31 GMT | 5 |
In an attempt to cure the problem with a feeble heater on my V8, I have been advised to bleed the heater pipes in case there is an airlock. I've located the two heater pipes, squeezing them causes the water in the expansion tank to swell so deffo the right ones.

I love Australia's Nullarbor Plain. Much of it 4x4 territory. It's like being on a different planet - flat, sparse no attempts at pleasantries. As if the lid had been taken off and the workings of the cosmos laid bare. A ‘Fireball Observatory’ was set up on the Nullarbor

| Steering wheel shimmy. | 26 Oct 2009 09:36 GMT | 14 |
Having finished the front end overhaul on the engine, new chain, tensioners etc, new radiator, I also fitted a new steering damper as the old one looked rather tired ( probably original). Having completed the work I took it for a drive and everything seemed

What with the pesky LEZ in London, and the Landy being my most practical car these days, there's a chance I might need to thunder into stinky London in it on rare occasions. This means I might need to get some kind of clean-up gear and an exemption certificate or

| Disco 3.9 V8 - anything to watch out for? | 22 Oct 2009 19:16 GMT | 18 |
Just bagged a nice D1 3.9 V8 auto on eBay, collecting Thursday but have only ever had 300 Tdi Disco's before. Anything to watch for on these please folks? Obviously corrosion issues will be the same (but this is a Jap import so hopefully solid) so I'm more thinking engine/gearbox ...

| Transmission vibration, 1993 RRC 200 Tdi | 22 Oct 2009 11:00 GMT | 4 |
My RRC has developed quite a noticeable transmission vibration (I think) and I'm after some advice. The vibration begins at 28 to 30mph. The worst of the vibration was between 30 and 45mph. The garage removed the front propshaft (which was apparently misaligned and worn)
