Can I just remove the rear silencer on a D1 V8i20 Oct 2009 20:31 GMT9
It hangs down so low it is going to get trashed off road so can I just cut
the back box off and put an exhaust finisher trim on or will it be too noisy
and illegal/MOT fail without it???
LR List Delivery Service19 Oct 2009 21:38 GMT1
Is there anybody on the list who is travelling between the Gatwick
area and Wiltshire in the next few weeks?  I'm just seeing if a cubby
could be moved my way...
Cheers
SRS light - 300tdi Range Rover19 Oct 2009 17:05 GMT3
It's a 1994, 300tdi Auto, with twin air bags, MA648***
The SRS light flashes for a few minutes, then settles to steady on.  The
battery had gone a bit flat after a few weeks non-use, I'd started it
with a magic yellow box, then charged the battery overnight with a cheap
Overworked left leg (clutch question).17 Oct 2009 17:02 GMT2
My 90 has always had a really hard clutch, which is something I accepted as
part of its character. The problem is that a fall off my bike seems to have
left some slight damage, which means my leg hurts occasionally after I use
the Landy in traffic. It looks like I'm not the only ...

disco II air-sus12 Oct 2009 18:58 GMT7
Some time back, I had a leak in the passenger side air spring, which caused
the motor to descend overnight.
Now it's doing it on the driver's side, but not all the time.  Just now, I
parked it up and it'd gone all the way down in abotu 2 hours, and in town
Why does my TD300 (all diesels?) need a vacuum pump for the servo?12 Oct 2009 16:45 GMT5
I was wondering why does my TD300 (all diesels?) need a vacuum pump
for the servo when pertrol engines don't - I would have thought that
the vacuum on the inlet manifold would be much the same on both. Can
someone enlighten me please? Is it because of the turbo?
f.cking Land Rover12 Oct 2009 09:28 GMT14
The part needed to make my car roadworthy again is £15, they aint got any so
my car is off road until the 28th of this month?
f.cking pathetic.

OK, it turned up this morning.  Convincingly tidily made loom which
intercepts the plug to the injectors on the front corner of the engine, pity
about the silly in-line fuse holder, would be a neater job to put a
fuseholder in the unit itself, I'd've thought.
Water leak08 Oct 2009 22:34 GMT15
Hi gang. A few weeks back I noticed that my 1994 P38 Range Rover HSE was
losing water. I took it into my local specialists who discovered it was the
seals to the heater matrix. These were replaced but it was also neccesary to
replace the matrix too. I collected the car last ...

Defender TD5 - worth a punt?08 Oct 2009 09:33 GMT5
I'm looking at swapping my Disco 300tdi off roader for a Defender 90 TD5,
the one in question is a really nice example of a station wagon on a 1999 V
Plate and is a good price at £6250. Only concern is that it has done 125k
miles and has no service history. The chap selling seems ...
Swingaway wheel carrier07 Oct 2009 21:53 GMT3
Am thinking of getting one for my 300 tdi 90 and wonder if it is really
worth spending the extra on a Mantec (£200 plus) as opposed to the
alternative "opens with rear door" version for just over £100
Views/advice would be welcome
Scratches ...07 Oct 2009 21:10 GMT71
Hi all, I have a few scratches on the Disco from green laning.  Looked
lovely when we first got it but a few years of off-roading and it's now
looking quite tired, see pics .. the scratches are everywhere including
the roof, some down to primer, a couple down to metal.  It's been ...
