Dear Landrover Owners.
I am trying to get a repacement "car key"...the Brisbane dealer here in Oz
has quoted $252.00 for the fob + $70.00 for the programming.  Pigs
arse...!!!

My 2002 td5 key fob refuses to unlock the car every now and again.
The only way to get it to work is by restting the code  by useing the key in
the lock method as per handbook instruction..
This seems to work so far . I am afraid it will let me down all together one

According to my (1998) handbook "DO NOT use snowchains - they may damage
the vehicle".
Official 2007 Defender accessories - snowchains available and can be
fitted front and rear.

I have a 96 300tdi defender that i'm trying to get through an mot :-(
When i attempt to sound the horn the 20A fuse blows. If I disconnect the
horn, activating the horn button still blows the fuse.
According to the manual, the same fuse supplies the dashboard clock,

The petrol gauge on my V8 D1 stopped working today, suddenly dropped from
1/4 full to empty and won't rise. Any ideas where I start looking for the
fault. I was on an off road day so the car was getting a good workout at the

Even with the dials at full red the heater output is pretty poor, I'd even
say lukewarm. Any ideas what the cause maybe? The engine temp gauge holds
steady at just below the half way mark and on tickover it does get a bit
warmer in the cabin, once I start driving though the temp ...

Just given the coil and dizzy cap a good soaking with WD40 but am trying to
find the place online that sells the rubber boot for the cap and coil.
Anyone know who does these please?  (It looks like a rubber glove with 9
fingers!!)
