RX 330 oil change procedure30 Apr 2004 16:36 GMT1
Does anyone have any comments or experience changing their own oil on a 2004
RX 330, such as where the oil plug is located, where the oil filter is
accessed from (above or below), and whether anything needs to be removed
under the car to access the drain plug and/or filter?  Any ...
RX300 Bike Rack?30 Apr 2004 00:38 GMT2
I have a 2001 RX300 without a trailer hitch receiver, and am looking for a
good bike rack solution... anyone have any good suggestions?
Also, is it possible to add a hitch receiver after the fact, and at what
cost?
Lexus Of Louisville28 Apr 2004 19:18 GMT1
Ok,
They called me after I sent them a little note expressing my displeasure
over the sloppy oil change and door ding.
They are doing the next lubrication free and taking the ding out free.
Location of remote key sensor?28 Apr 2004 17:04 GMT4
I've tried without success to divine the location of the receiver for my 93
LS400 remote door locks.  It seems to be diminishing in range and
effectiveness, showing total failure under some conditions.
Where is the thing located, and what would be contributing to this
Lexus of Louisville, KY28 Apr 2004 16:26 GMT9
My first oil service at Lexus of Louisville, KY went like this.
Car was pulled into the service area on time and all proceeded normally.
Car was finished on time and I proceeded to the parking area to move along.
First I noticed a smudge of grease or oil on the door handle and wiped ...
GS300 suspension28 Apr 2004 14:27 GMT3
I've just traded in my '01 IS for an '02 GS300 with 25,000 miles. The
car is immaculate, and I love nearly everything about it, but the
suspension is too soft. I never expected it to corner like the IS, but
I was hoping for a bit of a sportier feel.
ES300/330 Laggy Transmission: Possibility of Class Action Lawsuit?26 Apr 2004 22:53 GMT10
After a couple close calls this weekend due to the half second to 2
second lag during acceleration in my 2003 ES300, I'm fed up. I am
seriously concerned that at some point, I will inadvertantly cause an
accident because of this. The 'turning left at an intersection with
Lexus service at Toyota dealer25 Apr 2004 23:05 GMT5
Does anyone have experience getting a Lexus serviced by a Toyota
dealer? I've got a 1993 GS300 that needs major service (new timing
belt, plugs, etc.). I'm 2 hours from the nearest Lexus dealer, but
there's a local Toyota dealer who says they can do the service
Good Deal or Not25 Apr 2004 00:57 GMT7
Just bought a 2003 RX 300, premium plus package, for $35,900.  21K miles.
Good deal or not?  TIA

SC300 Question24 Apr 2004 14:27 GMT4
I have a 1992 SC300 with 34K miles. I bought it new and have never
driven it in the winter. It's in near perfect condition, it's
"loaded", and has the five-speed manual gearbox.
To sort of celebrate the start of spring I drove the car to visit my
TSB for warped rotors?23 Apr 2004 23:37 GMT3
Is there a TSB out for warped brake rotors on the 2000 ES300? Where can I find
those on the net for Lexus?    Thanks.
ES 330 Fuel Requirements23 Apr 2004 20:43 GMT11
I am considering an ES 330.  Just one question, what grade of fuel is
adequate in this model?  The Lexus web-site says regular unleaded, and the
dealer says 91 octane.  Anyone had any experience trying different grades?
Thanks for your help.
Bad Brakes at 22,000 miles on ES30023 Apr 2004 15:29 GMT2
Drove my wife's 2000 ES300 with 22000 miles on it. It has had very gentle use.
The brakes vibrate the steering wheel very strongly at highway speed and
nearlyas badly while slowing down at 25 to 30 mph in the city. That sure does
make the decision whether to buy an LS430 or the ...
cost of instrument cluster lights23 Apr 2004 03:10 GMT4
All,
I am currently considering a '94 lexus ES300 with 101k miles on it.  It
doesn't seem to have any real issues on first blush, except that the
instrument cluster lights are starting to die out.  I visited my local lexus
TSB for Hesitation on ES30023 Apr 2004 02:22 GMT4
Has anybody had this software fix performed? Does it really solve the
hesitation on acceleration problem?
