Any Info on 2005 LS430's31 Jul 2004 19:35 GMT2
Does anyone have any info on the changes due for the 2005 LS430?
I know any changes would be minor or performance related, but any
information would be great. I'm trying to decide whether to buy now or
wait for the '05's.
1995 Lexus ES300 repair manual31 Jul 2004 10:50 GMT7
Hi. I need a repair manual for a 1995 Lexus. Can I use
the Haynes manual for a 1995 V6 Avalon? I don't need the
factory manual for what I want to do. Oil changes, change
the valve cover gasket for the V6 etc. That's it.

Considering a 93 LS 400 - What happens when things go wrong?30 Jul 2004 19:11 GMT6
OK, I know it's a really negative way of looking at things - and
you'll all probably say "it won't go wrong", but I'd like to know some
of the costs when it does.

Blizzak vs Nokian tires30 Jul 2004 02:58 GMT1
Are Blizzak and Nokian tires equally good choices for
winter highway and around town driving for a 1990

Or does one brand have advantage over another?
How do you reset the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT on a '99  ES300 ?29 Jul 2004 21:30 GMT1
Wall Street Journal ES300 Article29 Jul 2004 19:35 GMT2
In yesterday's WSJ, an article says that the NHTSA is discontinuing for now
its investigation into the lag problem. More specifically, it was
investigating "sudden acceleration" associated with the ES300's
transmissions in '02 and '03 vehicles. It is now taking a wait and see

What to check when purchasing used vehicle?27 Jul 2004 22:11 GMT1
In general terms, what should I check when purchasing a used, 10 yr.
old Lexus? Besides checking the vin# with carfax and taking it to a
garage, what else should I check? Also, should I take it to a garage
that specializes in Toyotas/Lexus, or should I take it to a general
Normal gas mileage for RX30027 Jul 2004 01:15 GMT6
I was wondering what the "normal" gas milage should b for an RX300
(AWD).  I have a 2000 with 45000 miles that gets no more than 16.5 MPG
with a healthy mix of city and x-way.  Doesn't seem to matter much if
I change octane.  I was hoping to get closer to 20 MPG with this car
2001 ES Homelink problem27 Jul 2004 00:26 GMT5
We just moved from a place where I had a Genie door opener and I was able to
program the Homelink (1st button towards the window).  It worked great.  We
just moved to another home and I had a Lift Master garage door opener put in
and I have tried everything and cannot get it to take ...

Fuel type for GS 300?26 Jul 2004 08:53 GMT7
I read in one article that the '94 GS 300 requires Premium fuel but all the
review I've read don't mention anything like that (they only say unleaded).
Is it only premium or can I use regular unleaded?
In '94 was Lexus still Toyota?25 Jul 2004 03:10 GMT7
In 1994, were Lexus cars under Toyota? I'm in the process of purchasing a
'94 GS 300 and I want to make sure that the Lexus still has the same
reliability as the Toyota.
Thanks.
