Hi all, I have an issue I was hoping you all could help me with.  I
had a 1990 Lexus 400 that I always took to a mechanic that used to be
a mechanic in the Lexus dealership.  He has always been great, uses
only Lexus parts, and is much more reasonably priced.  However, after

Folks,
My wife has a 98 RX300 with ~70K miles.  It has been fully serviced

know much about cars ... but I have a couple of basic questions:

When I turn my steering wheel nearly complete left or right (or drive
a curve), turn down the windows and drive slow I hear a
"tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic" noise.
Dealer removed left wheel: the left brake pad is nearly up to the

Anyone out there have any more information on this. Sounds like a similar

automobile and garage wall damage. Fortunately no one was hurt?

Sudden Acceleration issue with ES33011 Aug 2004 07:19 GMT3
Anyone out there having any issues with sudden forward acceleration with any

Sounds crazy, but I had a car shoot forward from a speed of less than 5mph

ACCC Where Are You?10 Aug 2004 23:45 GMT4
OK, so you spend most of your time negotiating with Hel$tra instead of
fscking them as much as they fcuk the market.
But how can you miss the fact that a Soarer costs AU$161,574 on our shores,
but AU$83,500.
Starter problem with 1996 ES30010 Aug 2004 02:11 GMT4
Yesterday evening when I went to start my 1996 ES300 all I heard was a
whining noise.  I believe that this is a starter problem.
1)  Is this the noise that a starter problem would make?
2)  Is there anything that I can do to get it started so that I can get it
How many miles left when gas meter says 0?08 Aug 2004 20:57 GMT23
Does anyone know how many miles one has left when the when the driving range
indicator on a 2000 GS4000 reaches 0?  I've pushed it a couple of miles past
0 when the trip menu starts saying "Low Fuel".  Just wondering how accurate
the indicator might be.

GX06 Aug 2004 18:04 GMT2
We are looking for a new SUV at the end of this year. We feel the RX
is too small ... I have heard a rumor the GX is a poor seller and may
be dropped from the line.  Should that influence my decision to buy.
Your comments are appreciated.
More info on RDS radio functions?06 Aug 2004 15:50 GMT2
New to Lexus.  '03 ES300 w/ premium sound/RDS.
Where can I find out more about the RDS functions?  Once the radio has found
the "x" number of stations in an area, how do I scan through them based on
their type?  Just stopping at Easy Listening, for example?
