Looking for donut tire for sc43028 Sep 2004 03:49 GMT1
I am looking for a donut tire for a sc430. Also would be interested in a
truck kit for spare tire. I'm tired of the run flats
Holy f.ck my Ls400 has an alarm27 Sep 2004 19:36 GMT13
Little did I know...
I come home late at night.  Too lazy to open the garage, so I leave
Ol' Blackie in the driveway.  I'm in the kitchen preparing food when
I hear a car alarm, the type where the horn honks in sequence with
RX300 Questions25 Sep 2004 17:26 GMT3
I have a 2000 RX that is quickly nearing the 75,000 mile mark.  Local dealer
wants arm and leg to do recommended service and I'm don't have any limbs to
spare.
1. I would like some educated opinions on when to replace the timing belt.
Lexus Maintenance Costs!  Ouch!24 Sep 2004 23:25 GMT28
We need to get a replacement second used car and were looking at the IS300
and older GS300s.  I called the dealer to ask about maintenance costs, as I
am being eaten alive by our incredibly unreliable '95 Honda Odyssey van.  I
was stunned by what the dealer told me.  I am hoping ...
Latest GPS?24 Sep 2004 14:36 GMT3
I just purchased a 2001 Lexus RX300 with GPS.  Can anyone tell me
what's the latest and most up to date version of their GPS.  Also, how
much should I expect to pay for this?  Is it available through any
other source besides Lexus?  Any consensus on whether an upgrade is
How many miles on LS400?24 Sep 2004 03:30 GMT20
I'm thinking about getting an LS400 but can only afford something with well
over 100K miles. So my question is how good would one of these cars be?
Will a LS400 last much past 100K? I've seen them with 170K but can't help
thinking I'd be driving on borrowed time until somthing ...
2005 GS 300 - Dealer invoice price?23 Sep 2004 20:35 GMT12
I'm thinking of buying the 2005 GS 300.  A few questions:
a) a fleet manager at Lexus says he'll sell it at $750 above dealer invoice.
How do I find out what the "dealer invoice" for a standard 2005 GS 300
really is?  I don't want them to give me a fake dealer invoice and I'll ...
More Dead Battery Syndrome21 Sep 2004 20:35 GMT1
OK,
I go out this morning and the car starts and I take my meter and read across
the battery terminals and I am getting 14.1V now at idle.
Yesterday the thing showed 12.56V, I think it was ,at idle across the
Lexus ES330 vs Acura TL21 Sep 2004 15:30 GMT2
Can anyone have an opinion of the relative merits of a Lexus ES330 vs an
Acrua TL?
98 GS400 Radio LCD segments21 Sep 2004 13:06 GMT5
Well, Lexus said it would cost $600 to replace the radio for burned out
segments.  Can you imagine going thru two radios in 5.5 years.  I had it
first replaced under warranty after only two years.  It's a shame  Lexus
uses such inferior products.  LCDs have a half life right up ...
Long lamp lifetimes18 Sep 2004 21:21 GMT8
We own a Lexus LS400 that we've had since 1993. It has been fabulously
reliable and we'll probably never sell it.
One thing that really puts me in awe is that in all the time we've had it,
and it's a daily driver, the only lamps that have burned out are the two
Fast-blinking turn signal 98 ES30018 Sep 2004 17:58 GMT7
My left turn signal has just started blinking fast. (Right functions
normally)
Bulbs are fine, as they seem to light with normal intensity - just faster
now. I always thought that indicated a bad bulb, so I'm puzzled.
1992 ES300 front turn signal bulbs18 Sep 2004 17:56 GMT1
I saw the thread a short while back about turn signals suddenly blinking
way too fast.  This is happening to my ES300 now.
Only the left side is blinking fast.  The right is ok.  May I assume
this means it's not the relay?
Battery problems18 Sep 2004 11:26 GMT6
I've not been able to use my Lexus LS400 for about three weeks duration
twice in the last two months, each time the battery has went 'completely'
flat.
The battery's only a year old,is this a common problem?
