| General maintenance and care | 31 Jan 2005 19:30 GMT | 1 |
So, I finally got my RX 300 on the road. There is still some stuff I'm concerned about, but I'm taking it to a dealer to be looked at so the prior owner can fix whatever. My biggest concern is keeping it running and looking nice. I wanted to

| Front suspension noise | 27 Jan 2005 16:49 GMT | 5 |
I am hearing a noise on my 1999 ES 300 from the front passenger side. Sound is probably suspension-related, metal to metal contact and only happens when right front tire hits large bump. Sound definitely comes from the passenger side of the car, from the front right wheel, or

Hi. Looking to purchase a used Lexus RX300 for my wife. Hoping that someone in the know could summarize the primary differences between model years. Obviously the cheapest would be the oldest, 1999 I think. But if, for example, drastic improvements in reliability were

| Don't Buy the Lexus ES!! | 24 Jan 2005 03:16 GMT | 12 |
I have the 2003 ES300 and constantly notice the transmission lag. I have brought it in to the dealer twice for it. No result. I use premium fuel. Doesn't matter. I have almost been rear ended a couple times on the highway when I merge or get into the passing lane and the car fails

I own a GS300 since 1999 (50.000 miles), and the car has been the best I have ever had. I am looking for a second hand model in good condition, and I found one today with 100.000 miles on the odometer. Since my brother is buying the car on the strength of my advice, I don?t ...

| Yet another question | 23 Jan 2005 04:00 GMT | 2 |
Hey, my RX300 has been acting up in the cold. I turn it on and it turns right back off unless I hold the gas pedal down. Sometimes it will start right up, others I have to do it a couple times. Is that my starter?

| Catastrophic Transmission Failure - 1999 RX300 | 23 Jan 2005 02:41 GMT | 11 |
My 1999 RX300 has 169K km (or 106K miles) - and has been a reliable vehicle up to last month when the transmission suddenly failed at high speed on a 4-lane highway. Literally the drive failed and it was as if I was in neutral.

Anyone else have this problem? If I am on the highway in the left lane, yes always some drift down hill, my car nose dives left off the highway. I can travel to work each day, back and forth, and never have to turn to the left. Sometimes I have to be turning right on a left hand ...

| social commentary, performance art or smut? | 19 Jan 2005 03:29 GMT | 1 |
I just came across the website for a video called "hunting for bambi".
>From the looks of it, it seems to be a low-brow stab at the OLN/Playboy genres of cable networks, but also comes across as a misogynist celebration of gun culture. Does anybody have any insight or opinions
