90K Service09 Feb 2005 19:52 GMT2
Anyone know what service parts are required for a 99 SC400 at 90K? It might
make a difference what I have to pay for the car. (it's probably in the
owners manual, but I don't have access to one)
Thanks
How hard is it to change the timing belt on a 96 LS400?08 Feb 2005 14:59 GMT3
Dealership wants $590. Is this a big job? I have some mecahnical
experience, taken out 1 engine on a rover, and a bunch of other stuff,
but I'm no real mechanic. I have the service manual, is this accurate?
I've got 70K on the belt, am I treading dangerously?
2005 GX470 / Levinson Won't Play most CDRs 08 Feb 2005 06:11 GMT7
Hey folks. Does any one have good news for me on this? My new GX470 will only
play certain CDRs. I have not determined the difference between the playable
CDRs and the unplayable CDRs. Suffice to say all the CDRs play in my other
car....
Does the LS430 Have Tranny Hesitation?08 Feb 2005 00:41 GMT7
The ES300 has tranny hesitation from what everyone seems to say. It either can
or can not be dealt with by the driver. The adapative transmission seems to be
the source of the problem. There is a "smart" tranny in my old (1996) Mercedes
S430. But it does not have any problems like ...

TRAC lite07 Feb 2005 18:24 GMT2
aal group
Some months ago I posted a note regarding a continuous TRAC lite which
the dealer was unable to correct.  I spent quite a lot of money to
replace two components of the system without effect.  As a result I
Tire Choice ?07 Feb 2005 02:56 GMT1
Hi gang,
Looking for a tire recommendation for my 1998 ES 300. Live near Lake Ontario
(Western NY) so snow traction is always an issue.
Thanks.
2001 LS43006 Feb 2005 16:41 GMT2
I just purchased a 2001 LS430 with 34000 miles on it, delivered 5/01 which
is still in warranty until 5/05. The battery appears OK but did turn over
slow after having the key turned on for about 10 minutes playing with the
nav system without the motor running. Has anybody had any ...

Engine mount replacement03 Feb 2005 22:12 GMT5
I've been told I need new engine mounts for my 1997 SC300.
Got 120,000 miles... Cost said to be $750.00 for 3 motor mounts..
Does this sound right .... do mounts cost that much????
Why do mounts need to be replaced if no racing, rubber burning has
Do You Tip The Porter who Delivers your Lexus?03 Feb 2005 03:21 GMT8
No, but I always tip the cow that is sleeping on its feet in the back yard. And
it falls over and makes a satisfying WHUMP!
Service?02 Feb 2005 21:49 GMT1
I am getting closer to purchasing a GS-430. (Looking for a 2001, first
choice red, but ?? as long as it isn't black) Problem is where I live is 140
miles and a mountain pass away from the nearest Lexus dealership. There are
scads of BMW's, Audi's and MB's around here, because there ...
Doing My Own Servicing? 01 Feb 2005 13:48 GMT1
I have a SC430 2002. I am considering doing my own servicing at some time in
the future. I don't want to mess up my warranty. Can I do that by doing the
servicing myself? Or, when is a good time to start? So far there has been
nothing wrong with my car and it usually runs $ 2-300 ...
