| 2001 GS430 Tailight Replacement | 23 Sep 2005 06:25 GMT | 3 |
I need to replace the tail light bulb in my GS430 ('01). I removed the two cap screws from the inside edge of the tailight assembly, but it doesn't come free. I don't want to yank the wrong way and break something - can anyone give me a pointer?

| Key Trouble | 23 Sep 2005 05:42 GMT | 2 |
My wife and I own an 03 ES 300 and a new 05 RX 330, purchased at the same dealer. Both keys fit in both cars and both keys open both cars. The wrong key does not start the wrong car. On Tuesday my wife mistakenly put the ES key in the RX ignition. The key went in, turned

| GS300 Side Mirror... Replace Whole Part? | 22 Sep 2005 07:47 GMT | 2 |
The plastic cover of the passenger side mirror of my Lexus GS300 broke. Just the plastic cover. The electronics + memory are fine, and the mirror itself is ok. So, I went to Lexus dealer, in NYC, and I spoke to the person in charge of the auto parts department. I was surprised when

Does any9one lnow where the low side AC service port is on the 96 LS400? I've found the high side service port but cannot locate the low side (the side where you add refrigerant). I thought I looked pretty hard but it didn't jump right out at me and say "here I am!"

| 98 GS300 bushings... | 17 Sep 2005 18:54 GMT | 3 |
Lexus dealer replaced my front brake pads and remarked that the front rocker arm bushings were completely worn down. I have not noticed any symptoms of this. In fact, last year we were advised that our 95 Accord LX had the same problem. We have done nothing with it and have had ...

| 1997 ES300 Timing Belt Question | 17 Sep 2005 13:41 GMT | 1 |
Can anyone tell me whether the '97 ES300 has a negative clearance engine? I know that some Lexus models are fail safe if the timing belt breaks (i.e. pistons won't smash open valves).

| Danger of death from Toyota! | 16 Sep 2005 21:30 GMT | 2 |
Gary Walker comment: Sorry for the mutilation of the thread. I had an NNTP failure issue that required the rebuild of some accounts, which interrupted my NG access.

| Gas mileage w/your LS ? | 10 Sep 2005 04:14 GMT | 18 |
Anyone care to mention what kind of gas mileage you're achieving in your V8-powered LS? (LS400/LS430) My wife only drives her LS400 around the neighborhood to & from the grocery, etc. She's getting what I consider poor mileage, 12.2 mpg

| Is this dealer telling all? | 02 Sep 2005 18:52 GMT | 5 |
I've been doing some due diligence on the Lexus ES330 in anticipation of purchasing one. It didn't take long to find that there is a very annoying, if not some worse problem, with the 5-speed transmission for the past few years.

| Q: installing replacement front seat heater elements for LS 400 -94 | 01 Sep 2005 16:33 GMT | 1 |
Both of the front heat seaters are pretty weak on my LS 400 -94. I have decided to replace them with a non-Lexus replacement part as I was quoted 1000 euro ($1300) for one at local Lexus shop - for the heater element alone, supposedly integrated with the

| Lexus dealer oil and filter change price | 01 Sep 2005 04:18 GMT | 29 |
Well, our local Lexus dealership has increased the price of their oil and filter changes. They were charging $35.00 and now they are charging $60.00! About 7 miles down the road the local Toyota dealership will do it for $30.00. I don't really mind paying between $19.95 and $35.00 ...
