Have dealer do simple body work?18 Aug 2006 05:18 GMT5
I scraped my 2003 ES bumper against a stone wall at low speed, leaving a
ding about 6 inches long and 1 inch deep (photo at
http://tinyurl.com/rebkr ).  Is this something I should take to the dealer
to fix, or should I shop around?  Would the dealer be as good at this kind

How are one touch windows supposed to work in ES 300?13 Aug 2006 21:54 GMT5
Can someone please explain how the passenger side window lever is
supposed to work on a ES 300 and is it different from the drivers side
control of that window. Specifically, how is one supposed to get the
window down or up completely or partially? I thought that if one

RX300 headlamp covers11 Aug 2006 22:54 GMT1
I own a '99 RX300 and of late I've noticed the headlamp covers are becoming
a little worn, i.e., foggy and dusty -- no amount of cleaning will clear it
up. Has anyone else ever had their covers replaced or have an idea how much
it costs?
SC400 Amp11 Aug 2006 22:04 GMT2
The amp in my 92 SC400 is fried.  The model that I have is the
NAKAMICHI PART/MODEL #B324ULOA.  Just wondering if anyone knows what
amps can replace this one (for example NAKAMICHI PART/MODEL #B316ULOA).
Thanks!

LS400 Air Suspension11 Aug 2006 01:36 GMT4
1990 LS400 250,000 mi - electronic air suspension
I realize the electronic air suspension is an issue on early LSs.  I
have replaced one air unit (rear) a few months ago.  The car performed
well for a few months but now the suspension is acting up.
Should I replace water pump when doing timing belt?08 Aug 2006 13:11 GMT5
Just had a leak in the radiator of my 1995 GS300. Since it has been six
years  ago that the timing belt was changed (and 90.000 km) it makes
sense to me to have my independent mechanic do both in one fell swoop.
It should save on labor, since removing the radiator makes the ...
ES 300 turn signal replacement07 Aug 2006 04:05 GMT2
I'm trying to replace the turn signal on my 2000 Lexus ES 300.  I've tried
pulling the assembly from the outside but it doesn't come out easily and
I'm afraid of breaking it.  Is this the way it's done?

1992 SC40004 Aug 2006 06:13 GMT15
I am looking into buying a 1992 SC400 for $6K Canadian.  I drive a fair
bit for work (approx 500km a week), and throughout the winter.  The old
owner is a friend and he recently put $10K, body and engine work.
Is this a good idea?

Can they be switched between two to four wheel drive?
