I know most gasoline posts here are on the subject of octane rating - 93,
87, (premium, regular), etc.
While it's wise to follow the owners manual recommendations on octane, not
much has been said about TIER ratings.  There was a time (only a couple of

Dear Experts,
I have a 97 Camry XLE that I bought in 2000.
Unbeknownced to me (and the I believe also the dealer),
the car had been in an accident.

2006 LX-470.  Check engine light as well as the VSC lights have come on.
Tried to read the code with a friends scanner, but it only gives an ERR
message.  I thought all OBDC II cars were supposed to be able to be read??
Is this something only a dealer can get?

I own a GS 300, bought new in 1999, and it is without any doubt the best
vehicle I  have ever had.I intend to keep it for many years to come. I live
in Belgium, a country where high displacement engines are heavily taxed , to
the point of rip-off.. An annnual tax  ( road fund ) ...

I have an open ended question for the group.
My Lexus that was hit this past Sunday night while parked. She is a
1999 LS 400 w/ 106,000, perfect condition, inside and out.
As you can see the 1970 Monte Carlo (tank) that hit it pushed  it

is not working.
I have 6 cds in the deck the problem was intermittent

After reviewing my widow sticker on my 05 RX 330, it stats that car comes
equiped with Ventilated front and soild rear brake drums.  But my car has
solid front and back drums. has anyone experienced this as well.  Where are
the 8 speakers on that car I can only count 6.

Started into SD. Had a full tank of premium from Mn - pure gas. Got to
Mitchell and pulled off to see the unbelievable Corn Palace. It was
unbelievable. Ate buffalo burger and drank Sasaparilla. Tried to fill
up the car with gas. No gas except gasahol. Recalled the boys in the

when it's below 65 degrees, my clock, temperature, and heater are dark and
don't work for about ten minutes.  Then, they all illuminate and start
functioning.  Any ideas out there?  I hope someone has had this problem
and knows what it takes to correct it.

This is just a curiosity question.
I've always wondered why some cars require high octane gasoline and
others do not.  I have a 350GS and always use the highest octane as
required, but the one time I goofed and did not, the engine did not

My '04 GS430, evey once in a while, when I close my drivers window, it
will close and then open half way. I close it again, and once again,
all the way closed then half way open. This will happen three or four
times, then it works normally.
