I have a 2006 GS430 which has an automatic trunk lid closer. Recently my
sister slammed the trunk closed not knowing it was suppose to close
automatically. Up until that time you just had to make contact between the
trunk lid and the car body in order for it to close ...

They are just over-priced Goodyears.
You can replace them with several replacement brands for a lot less.
