| Fading paint on one panel | 22 Jul 2004 18:43 GMT | 21 |
I've got a red 1991 MX5 (I'm in the UK, hence MX5 rather than Miata :-)) and the driver's door panel is fading significantly more than the rest of the car. I bought it just over a year ago and don't have its full service history, so don't know whether at some point that door was ...

| wheel balance question | 22 Jul 2004 17:31 GMT | 17 |
I noticed that I do not have a wheel weight on one of my front wheels while I was washing the car, yet there has been no shimmy or other indication that anything is wrong. I made sure that the weight wasn't placed on the inside, and there was no weight there either.

| Aerial (antenna) | 22 Jul 2004 16:50 GMT | 2 |
My electric aerial (antenna to you US-ers!) has stopped going up and down, and is stuck somewhere in the middle. It doesn't seem to be the electrics or the motor - when I turn off the car I can hear and feel the motor trying to wind the aerial in, but it doesn't move. I've tried ...

| Mazda6 + inverter | 21 Jul 2004 17:40 GMT | 4 |
I have a Targus inverter that's throwing a low batt alarm (or at least I think it is - no instructions in the blister pack at all). It's rated for 10A maximum draw. I'm plugging a notebook adapter into the inverter. It's supposed to draw 1.5A max.

I thought I read a post about this recently, but I can't find it now... The trunk of my 90 smells VERY strongly of gasoline. Is this an indication of a problem that I should deal with? Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions? It's so bad, I can't put anything in the trunk ...

After having changed my oil (Castrol Lightech 10W-40 - samme as I always use) and oil-filter, the oil pressure act very different from what I'm used to. I've always had a very good feeling about the pressure, eg. how long it

| Wheel Alignment | 17 Jul 2004 03:31 GMT | 7 |
I recently stumbled across something on the web written by a fellow who claims to do his own wheel alignment. He went through a detailed and lengthy description of how he calibrates his garage floor, greases up a couple of floor tiles to put under the front tires, etc. and claims to ...

I am looking to buy a used Miata and I would like to know what year they changed from R12 to R134A. I don't want to consider any that use R12 in the A/c. Are there any particular years that are better than others?
