Transmission tunnel heat04 Jul 2004 17:48 GMT28
While driving my 90 (which I got last year) I notice a good amount of
heat from the the tranny area inside the car and the stick itself gets
pretty warm..
Engine temp is o.k. and car runs and shifts fine.

Add lower interior lights on 200204 Jul 2004 02:31 GMT1
In 1995 I added lower interior curtesy lights on my 1992 replacing small
panels on the sides of the consol.  I now want to install these same
lights in my 2002 Miata but I was unable to find wires behind the panels.
Can someone tell me how these lights can be added to the 2002. ...
Oh the anguish of buying.  Advice needed.03 Jul 2004 04:45 GMT5
Please be patient.  I know I've posted before, but I'm looking for the
voices of experience.  I continue to try to be patient and look for a good
deal on a Miata like so many others have described here.  I've found the
following in classifieds that look interesting:

The air bag light on my daughter's 91 just came on.
Is this common?
If you've dealt with this, what did you do?
TIA...
WTB Mazda body parts02 Jul 2004 21:33 GMT1
Hi, all.  For a '91 looking to buy a rear finish (license plate) panel and
also both front fenders, *especially* a driver's side.  Classic Red (now
pinkish) would be great but I am prepping for new paint so any will do.  I
am in South Texas / San Antonio but would be willing to ...
I Need A Factory Radio/CD Player For A 99 Miata02 Jul 2004 17:07 GMT1
My G/F's has stopped working. Well, it still works but the CD's get
stuck inside and she uses tweezers to pull them out. Me being an
audio/videophile, it just makes me cringe! LOL
Does anybody have one that they might like to sell or point me in the

Chirping noise coming from Transmission??02 Jul 2004 08:36 GMT7
I've noticed a chirping sound coming from my car. It's a fast,
constant chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp sort of thing. It's coming from
below the car. If I'm sitting in it and have the door open I can hear
it. If I put my foot on the clutch it goes away. The clutch doesn't

Miata- A girl's car?02 Jul 2004 06:34 GMT64
I am a 50 year old male Miata owner. Last night, while at a social gathering, the topic of cars came up. I mentioned that I was an owner of a new Miata. This women who I had just met, burst out with "that's a girls car"! I was a bit taken aback by that comment having never ...
Homemade shift boot02 Jul 2004 04:23 GMT4
I read of a guy who went down to the local fabric store, bought some leather
and traced his vinyl shift boot to make a pattern.  Sounds straight forward
enough.  Anyone else do this?  How'd it turn out for you?
This is for a 3.  Momo makes a leather shift boot, but I don't care for ...
Conical air filter01 Jul 2004 21:32 GMT1
I finally yanked the air cleaner from my Greddy turbo.  It's a conical
affair, and upon inspection I noted it consisted of nothing more than
a dry gray foam filter, shaped to fill the filter cage and hollow
inside.  I'd like to replace it with something more effective (in
