1991 miata fan belt26 Aug 2004 04:14 GMT2
I have replaced my fan belts each time getting a more expensive one hoping
for better quality. I am unable to keep them tight enough. Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance.

OT: Korean cars26 Aug 2004 00:10 GMT6
Has anyone had a chance to examine any Korean cars recently? I'm wondering
if their quality is up to par with the Japanese yet. Seems like at some
point they'll have gotten their quality issuses fixed, but their rep will
still be in the mud, and for a little while they'll be a ...
How is the original USA light plant?25 Aug 2004 18:31 GMT1
Hi, I am an Italian boy, from few I have a Miata of the '90 Usa "Classic
Red."
The car in 96 has been modified for being able to circulate in Italy,
specially in the plant lights.
Very different handling with Falken tires25 Aug 2004 13:25 GMT8
I just replaced the no-name (wish I could remember.  Four letters,
Japanese, not Toyo or Yoko) tires with 185/60 14 Falken Ziex 512
tires.  The ride is great, but they handle significantly differently
than the old ones.  There's a very slight lag,  they seem to require
2001 Automatic24 Aug 2004 18:38 GMT1
I bought a used 2001 Miata about a month ago, 20K miles.  Since many service
intervals hit at 25 or 30K miles, I checked the owner's manual to see what
was coming up.  There was no mention of a service interval for an automatic
transmission.  As a matter of fact, there wasn't even a ...
High temperature - new radiator?24 Aug 2004 14:50 GMT1
Since I've had my 1991 1.6 MX5 (just over a year now) when I get it up to
80/90mph in hot weather the temperature gauge goes up noticeably higher, to
about 3/4 of the range (as opposed to about 1/3 otherwise). If I slow down
the temperature goes down again, as it also does if I turn ...
Shocks24 Aug 2004 04:54 GMT3
Miata M1 and original shocks with 65K miles. What is the down side of not
replacing the original shocks and just using whatever is left of them? Will
it harm the suspension? Tires? Springs?

Looking for a picture of the fuse layout in my fuse box24 Aug 2004 02:21 GMT3
I can't seem to find a photo or picture for either of my two fuse boxes
that shows me what fuses go in which slot or which slot controls which
circuit. I did buy a copy of the Haynes 1990-1997 Mazda MX-5 Miata Repair
Manual but all it has are the circuit diagrams, not a visual ...
Towing23 Aug 2004 22:51 GMT3
Hello friends at rec.autos.makers.mazda.miata,
Does anyone know if a Miata can be towed with the rear wheels on the street
without damaging the transmission?
Thanks,
Dual Exhaust - St Louis MO area23 Aug 2004 15:48 GMT2
Appoligies to non-St Louisans for wasting your time.. just have a
question for the locals..
I've heard thru the grapevine that there are several Miata owners in
the St Louis area that have the FM Dual Exhaust.  Unfortunately I've
Clutch slipping.  Gimme the bad news!23 Aug 2004 13:14 GMT2
Hi, all.  '91 Miata that had a clutch put in about 30K ago.  Yesterday and
today clutch seems to be slipping a bit and no power making it to the rear
wheels.  Tonight it got worse quickly.  I put it up on the ramps and lo and
behold, there's oil all over the tranny and the tunnel ...
Where Miatas drive, SUVs fear to tread23 Aug 2004 03:15 GMT17
With all the rain we have been having, it surprises me how
SUVs have to come to a complete stop in front of every puddle
that is obviously not more than 1 or 2 inches deep, and that
is not noticeable in a Miata at 15 mph or so.
