| Dropping idle when headlights are on | 28 Sep 2004 20:04 GMT | 2 |
I don't drive my '93 after dark that much, even less during the summer when it stays light later. I spent the last week at the SCCA Runoffs and the days I drove to the track in my Miata and stayed late enough to drive home after dark I noticed a problem. When stopped at a light or

| Michellin Pilot Tires | 28 Sep 2004 00:26 GMT | 2 |
In a torque oversteer situation, surprised by the lack of side to side traction these tires show. No squeal, no rubber on the road, just slides away without a sound, and this is dry pavement.

| New Miata Owner Question - Top | 27 Sep 2004 21:00 GMT | 7 |
I just bought a 2002. Although I anguished over the purchase, now I'm smiling when driving. One question though....how long should I expect a top to last before needing replacement? I'm not facing that yet, but figure the day will come.

| Check engine light | 25 Sep 2004 22:25 GMT | 3 |
I just bought a 1999 Miata. The check engine light came on shortly after I bought it. I determined the that the gas cap was bad and replaced it. The light did not go off immediately, but went off about a day later and stayed off. The dealer told me that this is typical.

| New Top Concern/Issue | 25 Sep 2004 14:59 GMT | 2 |
I purchased and installed a cloth top on my 99 miata from Duetto. I did it myself and it still looks great. The installation part of the instructions could use some work, just remember how it went apart and use your common sense.

| Cruise Control for Mazdaspeed Miata | 25 Sep 2004 01:00 GMT | 4 |
If this had been two months ago before I discovered coming out of Tulsa that yes, the CC in my 93' actually works (don't ask) I wouldn't be having these qualms. But geez, it took a load off of my foot for those 2000 miles back to SF. So, the lack of CC on the Mazdaspeed is

| New Miata owner | 24 Sep 2004 05:45 GMT | 22 |
My wife and I just bought a 1999 Miata. We love it so far. I just sold a 1970 VW Karmann Ghia and am switching from the aircooled VW newsgroup to here, so I am a newbie. My first question is this. When following the car home after we bought it, we noticed that the speedometer ...

| Flood damage | 23 Sep 2004 04:06 GMT | 2 |
Here in SE PA we had the Delaware river overflow it's banks on Sunday. I stopped at the garage of a friend to see how he made out. He had emptied his shop Saturday and now was repainting and repairing the building. Anyway, a local Miata owner came to him to repair his flood damaged ...
