Please explain wheel size differences.30 Nov 2004 21:34 GMT29
There have been several threads lately about wheel sizes, but I'm a
bit in the dark as to what difference wheel diameter makes.  I seem to
remember hearing that changing wheel diameter doesn't necessarily
change spedometer accuracy.  If that's the case, then the tire
Installing a power antenna30 Nov 2004 01:37 GMT6
I'm installing a power antenna in my '97 to replace the old non-power
one.  I got the stock Mazda power unit from the dealer and everything
went into place very easily.  That should have been my first inkling
of trouble.  It just doesn't go up.  So, here's the set-up.  Other

As the one day of autumn rolled in here in southeast Texas my wife reminds
me that it is time for our beloved daughter, to take a break from the
studies, and come home for the Thanksgiving holiday. So a quick peek at the
weather channel and an even faster look as a couple of my ...

missing28 Nov 2004 01:59 GMT2
I bought my 97 M model at 36K miles, and have driven it for 4 years.  Now
has 88K.  On a recent highway trip it started missing when ever I
accelerated, but would smooth out when I let back off the gas.  This has
been a gradual onset, but seems to be getting worse.  If I start off ...
missing PS27 Nov 2004 17:57 GMT1
Oh, one other clue.  The check engine light came on during the above
mentioned trip.  When I got down on the gas, and the missing really kicked
in, the check engine light would flash, but when I backed off and it
smoothed out, it would stay on steady.  Won't go out, however.  Thanks ...

Need to replace the original Yokohama tyres as they are getting worn out.
Someone said other makes of tyre may upset the handling.
Could this be true? Have just had a quote for some Dunlop's.

Looking to buy 1991 1.8 liter turbo miata23 Nov 2004 05:38 GMT3
I have a chance to buy the following car. It has fairly high miles, but
almost every mod has been done in the last 1 to 2 years, with the engine
and turbo being done this summer, and the car is in great condition, a
couple of dings and small scratches, no accidents. It feels ...

get a new set of tires mounted before I have the front end aligned on my
Miata, or can the alignment be adusted just as accurately if it's done with
the old set of tires still mounted?

Just bought the red 1991 with 1.8 liter engine, 1999 head, Garret turbo,
etc. It drives very nicely, the power is wonderful. Now I just need some
dry weather to enjoy it in.
