| Miata as a toad | 07 Nov 2004 22:07 GMT | 5 |
I am seriously considering towing my 1990 Miata (first owner, I've had it since June '89) behind my motorhome. I am fairly confident that no modifications ( tranny lube pump, driveshaft disconnect) are required. My concern is with the odometer racking up mileage. Is the speedo ...

| Zippering a 2004 top | 06 Nov 2004 03:04 GMT | 10 |
When I'm running in the desert all day long across country, I often like to run with the top up and the back window down. You can't run topless all day or you turn crispy and I'm not usually a big fan of AC.

| R-12 Cost/Value | 04 Nov 2004 23:26 GMT | 7 |
This is more out of curiosity than anything else. I just had a friend purge and refill my AC on the 92 with R-12. He has seven twenty pound cannisters of the R-12 that he bought many years ago when they started to phase it out. I was thinking about trying to buy one from him ...

| panhandling for carfax report | 04 Nov 2004 15:54 GMT | 7 |
I was hoping that someone could run a carfax report on a miata's VIN that I am looking at. I was going to go ahead and subscribe if I find any more to look at, but I am too much of a cheap bastard to pay $25.00 for 1 report.

| need info on used miata | 04 Nov 2004 14:11 GMT | 14 |
I'm gonna buy a used miata, and thought I'd check here to see if anyone can make a reccomendation on where the best bang for the buck is. I don't know which model years have what, or which is better, etc. I'm the guy who always buys the (fill in the year) and then everybody says, ...

| Drivers Side Window won't go down. | 03 Nov 2004 15:48 GMT | 4 |
2000 with power windows. The driver's side suddenly won't go down. The passenger side works and there looks to be 1 fuse for both so my hopes of a simple fix got dashed to pieces. So do I start with the switch or rip the door apart first? Other things I can check? The switch doesn't

| fixing slashed miata convertible top | 03 Nov 2004 07:09 GMT | 15 |
per an earlier post, the repair of a convertible top slashed by a radio thief -- using elmer's stix-all adhesive, commonly available (like at walgreen's for about $6.00 a tube) -- passed its first serious storm test by holding-up very well. if this stuff works, and it seems to, ...

| AT Overdrive | 02 Nov 2004 03:14 GMT | 1 |
Hello friends at rec.autos.makers.mazda.miata, I have a '99 Miata automatic with overdrive. I would like to know if it is alright to shift in and out of OD manually instead of leaving it on all the time. If I leave OD on it seems to shift into OD too quickly.
