When I'm running in the desert all day long across country, I often
like to run with the top up and the back window down. You can't run
topless all day or you turn crispy and I'm not usually a big fan of
AC.

Does anyone have a reasonable fix, aside from purchasing the FM-ECU ?

This is more out of curiosity than anything else.  I just had a friend
purge and refill my AC on the 92 with R-12.  He has seven twenty pound
cannisters of the R-12 that he bought many years ago when they started
to phase it out.  I was thinking about trying to buy one from him ...

I was hoping that someone could run a carfax report on a miata's VIN
that I am looking at. I was going to go ahead and subscribe if I find
any more to look at, but I am too much of a cheap bastard to pay $25.00
for 1 report.

Hello friends at rec.autos.makers.mazda.miata,
I have a '99 Miata automatic with overdrive.  I would like to know if it is
alright to shift in and out of OD manually instead of leaving it on all the
time.  If I leave OD on it seems to shift into OD too quickly.

I imagine a custom lug lock would be best, but does anyone have a
recommendation?
