turbo engine pics31 Dec 2004 23:49 GMT5
Here are a few engine pics from my latest car. There is quite a bit of
room to work in there since there is no A/C, power steering, cruise
control, etc. Even the windshield reservoir tank has been removed to
make room for aftermarket parts. My '96M had the reservoir relocated to
my mx-5 doesn't start31 Dec 2004 08:30 GMT2
when I open my car the key works, but it's impossible to start the car.
Yesterday it worked correctly but today the red car with key symbol's
warning light appears.
Have you got any idea on what's happened?
Replacing the Alternator Belts31 Dec 2004 01:46 GMT1
Can a novice tackle changing the alternator belt? Is it one belt?
Water pump flange o-ring leaks31 Dec 2004 01:24 GMT2
I recently did a timing belt replacement, and did the water pump at the
same time.  Everything worked fine, but after about 10 miles, the water
pump flange o-ring started leaking like crazy.
I thought it was on ok when  I pushed the flange on, but now I can see
Replacing fuel filter30 Dec 2004 03:25 GMT3
I want to replace the fuel filter in my '97 Miata.  I looked on line
and could only find a description of the procedure for a '90 with the
1.6 engine.  The replacement procedure looke WAY more complicated than
I expected and I'm a bit reluctant to try it as I don't have much in
Yokohama ES 100 tires29 Dec 2004 19:25 GMT1
FWIW, I've had my Yokohama ES 100 tires (205-45/16) for a 10 days now and
thought I'd report back.  I haven't gone up in the mountains yet, but in
spirited city driving that they seem at least as "sticky" as the Bridgestone
Portenza's they replaced.  They have also done well in our ...

HELP!28 Dec 2004 20:24 GMT1
I'd been wanting to pull the cam angle sensor for quite some time to replace
the O-ring as it had been seeping oil for quite some time. I finally got the
opportunity but I know now, I should have waited. I tried to do it when the
engine was still pretty hot..........stupid, I know ...
Frankenstein Bolts28 Dec 2004 03:42 GMT3
Ok, got the kit to put the hardtop on my 2000SE.  I have the hardtop from a
previous car and the 2000SE I got did not have the hardware.  When I tried
to install the frankenstein bolts, they hit the sides of the recess and do
not recess into the holes in the rectanguar chrome ...
Automatic Seatbelts '90 MX626 Dec 2004 03:47 GMT7
Anybody have experience with these decapitators? Mine on the driver side
requires a jiggle and a tug to get it going - sounds like a lube problem,
but where?, there isn't much written about them.
any help appreciated,
1994 Mazda 626 Ignition Switch Problem?26 Dec 2004 03:00 GMT4
I know this is a miata forum but hopefully some of you guys will have
some input regarding this.  The other day when going to start my car
It wouldn't crank at all.  The radio wont turn on, heater no
accessories except for the headlights.
Anyone familiar with "program" cars?26 Dec 2004 02:02 GMT2
I've seen a couple of Miatas in my area that are priced well below KBB
and have extremely low mileage (one 2004 has 300 miles on it and is
thousands below blue book, even being offered for less than the trade
in value of a comparable car). The dealer said it's a program car, and
A Tire Test - Any Input???26 Dec 2004 01:05 GMT4
I recently bought a Miata with worn tires on the rear, the front pretty
good.  So, I decided to replace the rear tires.  Having bought the car, the
old bank account was about as dry as a parched well in Arizona.  Decided to
buy a couple of Daytona tires with a wear rating of 530, ...
New Tires26 Dec 2004 01:00 GMT10
I have an '03 that came with Bridgstone Touranza EA30s in 205/45-R16 size.
I have not been too impressed with them.  Besides, at 18,000 miles, they are
already worn to the warning bars and I'm not a hard driver (I wonder if the
dealer put on used tires before I picked up the car)!
