Exhaust24 Aug 2005 14:58 GMT1
I have a '03 and was under it for the first time the other day checking
things out.  I noticed what looked like a minature muffler between the cat
and the big muffler, what is this little thing?
Can it be taken out and what are the pluses and minuses of doing so?
Jack, Lug Wrench, Etc.24 Aug 2005 11:41 GMT2
I need a jack and lug wrench for my 95 tripple black.  Does anyone happen to
know if other model Mazda's jacks will work?  I don't see any Miata specific
stuff on ebay, but there is a 95 Millennia, and a 94 MX-3 jack that look
awfully similar.  Thank you!

What is the best strategy to get the best selling price for a hardtop?
It seems like if I say im asking XXX for the car and YYY for hardtop
the buyer will just say ill give you XXX for both. Has anyone had any
luck selling the hardtop by itself? Im in CT by the way. Thanks

I haven't made a post to this board in quite some time, as I've been
busy and my Miata hasn't given me any trouble lately :)
Unfortunately This past Sunday I was enjoying a drive with the top down
when a deer jumped out directly in front of me. The road was slightly

1990 Miata23 Aug 2005 00:12 GMT3
Hi, my husband has a 1990 Miata the needs a new top and new struts. The
original top have finally sprung a leak. Does anyone know of a good shop for
the top in the DFW area? Thinking about taking it to Freeman Mazda for the
struts. Any other suggestions?
Dirty Injectors22 Aug 2005 20:35 GMT7
Here's  one. I just bought this '91 to replace my totaled '95 last
month.  The car had 88k on it and I set about righting what was wrong
with it. In addition to changing the plugs, plugs wires, fuel filter,
cleaning the air filter, cleaning the throttle, I put a a bottle of STP
Short somewhere22 Aug 2005 06:36 GMT1
On my '92 Miata all the sudden I'm blowing the 15 amp fuse that controls
the tail, parking, and dash lights.  Does anyone have any experience with
something similar?  The only thing I can think of that might be related is
I installed a roll bar a few months ago, but I was careful ...
Warranty Mods20 Aug 2005 23:10 GMT2
Just bought a new Miata Speed and was wondering what modifications Mazda
allows without voiding the warranty. Mainly exhaust, intake,
intercooler, cpu. Does anyone know where I might find an official document?
Thanks
Battery light constantly on17 Aug 2005 23:13 GMT5
One day the light stayed on. Checking charging voltage, had a tad over 15
volts and climbing so had the brushes and regulator replaced. The mechanic
claimed it wasn't charging at all when he got it, and that after changing
the brushes and regulator it worked properly (range 14 ...
Program new cut Mazda Key Myself17 Aug 2005 13:45 GMT1
Hi everyone, I have a '99 Mazda 626 ES V6, and I've just got a new key
made, the type that has the chip in it.  In the past, for another '99 626
ES but with a 4 cyl, about a year ago I got a dup key cut, and it too had
the chip, and for $40USD, they cut a new key and took it to the ...
First tiny 1.5mm crack in 1992 soft top17 Aug 2005 12:16 GMT2
My Buffalo, NY  '92 Miata with 41,000 miles on it just developed a tiny
crack approx 1.5mm long near a place where the top folds when it is
moved up or down (middle right side.)
The top stays down most of the summer, as I only use it in good weather
Splash-pan question...17 Aug 2005 11:20 GMT3
Recently I installed some Jackson Racing sway-bars, but never put the
splash-pan back on -- I was thinking that the car would maybe run cooler
without it.  Is there any reason to have a splash-pan here in California,
perhaps other than for aerodynamics..?
Space Behind Temporary Tire in Trunk17 Aug 2005 04:01 GMT23
I removed my temporary spare from the trunk the other day and found a pretty
large void behind it.  Can this space somehow be used to store the jack?
Are there other creative uses that people have come up with to take
advantage of that space?
