| Again frozen door weatherstriip. | 31 Jan 2006 22:01 GMT | 2 |
We've had some icy misty foggy nights here in NJ. My door weatherstripping on my 2002 Protege had some minor problems with being frozen to the door frame. In the fall I used a rag and sprayed it liberally with Permatex

| swap late model 1.8 into early Miata | 31 Jan 2006 16:23 GMT | 3 |
I've got a complete late model doner car that got rear ended and totaled. I'd like to swap the 1.8 engine, 6 speed tranny, and computer into my 92. First, am I correct that using the mounts from the doner, the engine and tranny will just bolt in?

The radiator on my '91 (130k miles) exploded and I'm looking to replace it along with my water pump (original), and timing belt (replaced around 67k miles). I've found the following:

| Q: 60K Service | 28 Jan 2006 16:34 GMT | 29 |
Hello, everyone. The owner's manual says that I need to replace the timing belt and get other major services done at 60K miles. What happens if I postpone it a little, say, 61K miles? Would my car break down in the middle of the

| 1.8 NB FL brake discs on 1.8 NB? | 26 Jan 2006 23:21 GMT | 5 |
Is it somehow possible to fit NBFL brake discs (10.9 in front and 11 in rear) to 2001 NB Miata (Standard 10 in front and 9.9 in rear) without changing brake calipers? Is there some kind of adapter for calipers to be able to fit bigger discs?

| Parking Brake | 22 Jan 2006 07:12 GMT | 15 |
My 1996 Miata's parking brake does not work. I relpaced the cable running from the equalizer to the rear caliper on one side, thinking that was the problem. Then I tightened the cable at the brake lever. It still does not work. With the car jacked up by the rear differential, I ...

| And then there's irony... Ideas from symptoms? | 22 Jan 2006 04:58 GMT | 2 |
I can't help but sit here and laugh at myself and/or the irony involved. Yesterday, some posts to a thread on rec.autos.tech about how great, reliable, bulletproof, unkillable, etc, etc, etc, Mazda engines are. Today, mine came home form the paper route on a flatbed wrecker - No,

| Charge light? | 21 Jan 2006 00:50 GMT | 20 |
My "charge" light doesn't come on, I checked the bulb and checked the diode on the instrument light circuit board (w/o removing the printed circuit) and all is OK. I know the alternator is working by the simple test, start car, turn on

Hi, I've got a 92 Miata and it's new for me and this is the first winter I've been driving it. I noticed recently that when I step on the brakes the car lunges forward. I almost hit the car in front of me yesterday! The Miata lunged forward

| '93 Miata -- shutting off alarm? | 18 Jan 2006 19:14 GMT | 2 |
First time posting here. Howdy everyone. Bought a '93 Miata early last summer, with 124K miles. It's been sweet, the greatest car ever, in fact. I garage-parked her (unheated) at the end of October, and had her out

I have three Bridgestone Turanza ER30 205/45/16 tires that I no longer need. They have 8800 street miles on them. One has a tiny nail in it. The nail has been there for over a year and the tire has never lost air. These are the factory supplied tires. I destroyed one (the missing ...
