NB air bag17 Jan 2006 17:35 GMT10
Guys, (and gals of course) I'm wondering how much it might cost to purchase
the drivers side air bag for a NB. Also, how few and far between they might
be to come along.
I love the Nardi NB steering wheel, have the opportunity to purchase one
96 M Edition Alarm15 Jan 2006 15:46 GMT3
My '96 M's OEM alarm is now inop (no keyless entry, alarm, headlights) with
a rapidly flashing LED on the steering column switchbox.  I've read on other
sites that this is probably due to frying the control box when I installed a
new battery, but none of them tell me where to find ...
Back in the saddle again!14 Jan 2006 00:29 GMT7
Some of you may remember my saga about defecting from Miata to a C6
Corvette (the ultimate sports car, right?).  Well, the Corvette was a
General Motors quality control nightmare - nuff said.  I've owned a 91
base, a 92 B package, a 95M edition w/supercharger (should have NEVEr
6 Speed Grinding?13 Jan 2006 03:07 GMT12
I have a 1990 5 speed which shifts "like butter." The 2003 6 speed I
recently bought grinds gears when the weather is even slightly
cold--e.g., 50 degrees!  Double clutching stops this, but of course is
not much fun.
Wheel weight?12 Jan 2006 05:44 GMT21
I am looking for a new set of wheels and tires for my '95 and can't find any
OEM one locally for a reasonable price.  I don't really care if they are 14"
or 15" and am planning on putting Falken Ziex's on them or perhaps
Bridgestone Traction TA's... Meaning that I am not looking ...
1991 Roadster Headlamps stay up12 Jan 2006 04:41 GMT2
I just got this as a second car but am tempted to get rid of my other
car and just keep this now! The only problem I have after fixing an
electric wondow issue is the headlamps.
They dont always go down after I switch the lights off. Sometime they
1988 MAZDA ENGINE11 Jan 2006 11:15 GMT6
PROBLEM: TIMING BELT BROKE AND THEN THE ENGINE WAS REPEATEDLY TURNDED OVER
QUESTION: WANT TO KNOW IF TURNING THE ENGINE OVER COULD HAVE OR DID BEND
THE VALVES BECAUSE IT'S A DUAL OVERHEAD CAM ENGINE?
Remote start for standard transmission?10 Jan 2006 17:10 GMT73
Now that I'm heading into my first Minnesota winter in a long
time without heated parking, I've been getting a bit jealous of
people with remote starters.  I know I should just tough it
out, but that aluminum shift knob gets pretty cold and I hate
2006 Miata10 Jan 2006 15:08 GMT14
The car bug is starting to nibble.  I went and test drove a 2006 Miata
today,    Nice, I have always wanted a 2 seat sports car.
So what are people paying compared to the invoice price of the vehicle?
Lehigh Valley Miata Owners Club makes the news!07 Jan 2006 02:32 GMT8
Got a mention on the front page of the local newspaper and a
really good article on the first page of the second section
about our Second Annual Polar Bear Run.  The article appears
on the opening page of the paper's website too!  The first
tap...tap...tap...05 Jan 2006 23:41 GMT6
the temperature just dropped here in TN and i've noticed a tapping
under the hood now... i think it may be the lifters and was wondering
if anyone could give any opinions on my solution. i'm getting the oil
changed this week and have heard that using a 5w30 synthetic helps
MX-5 MK2 wet parcel shelf 02 Jan 2006 17:26 GMT3
I've had my MX-5 for about 6 years or so, though I have noticed now that
both corners of the parcel shelf near the seats are collecting lots of
water.  I've also noticed a bit coming into the boot.
Anyone else had this problem? the seals for the hood etc. all seem fine,
170 HP 2006 Miata : fact or fallacy ?01 Jan 2006 18:08 GMT52
Over the years, Mazda has been well known for making overstated claims
about the amount of horsepower produced by its Miata engines.  I'm
wondering if the 2006 model really belts out 170 HP as they claim.  I
would like to hear from  mechanically knowledgeable people on this
