I know that trailer hitches have been sold for Miatas from the very
beginning but have any of you had actual experience with towing with
your Miata?
I've just about ready to buy a 2006 (tomorrow in fact if everything goes
2006 Miata airbag recall08 Apr 2006 02:09 GMT10
I just heard from the dealer who is delivering my 2006 Miata.  They are
withholding it because of an airbag problem...so they say.  Has anyone
else received a recall?

Well, after a long weekend rebuilding my hard drive...computer crashed
friday night...I finally got pics and an ad up on craigslist to sell my '90

White "spots"/corrosion/oxidation of Miata latches and screws???06 Apr 2006 18:45 GMT7
I have a 2003 Miata that was driven in Florida for the last 2 years.
Over the last year, the interior convertible latches, springs, and
screws have developed some sort of white crust/oxidation on the exposed
sections. It's not just limited to the interior, since I have also
Just noticed.  MAZDAUSA.com still refers to the Miata as the "MX-5  MIATA"06 Apr 2006 04:39 GMT15
I hope this is intentional
I like "Miata" better than "MX-5"
Timing belt question.06 Apr 2006 02:30 GMT14
I'm past due for a new timing belt, 78000 miles on my '97.  Is there
any other maintenance that should be done at the same time?
Thanks very much for any help.
2003 Radio code ?06 Apr 2006 02:16 GMT6
I know this has come up here before, but I didn't have a Miata with a
Mazda radio in it. I just bought a 2003 Garnet Red LE and the clown that
turned it in to be sold, did not leave the Owners Manual or the radio
code in the car!!   (The D/S ! )  Anyhow, I know there is a way to get
Tire size question06 Apr 2006 01:22 GMT9
I have stock 14" alloy wheels on my 94 Miata.  According to the tire
calculator on Miata.net, the standard diameter & rev/mi are 22.7 and 887
respectively.  The three tire options I'm looking at come in stock 185/60
(Yoko), 195/55 (Toyo) and 195/60 (Hankook).  Going on the ...
Nice day for a drive / T1R thoughts05 Apr 2006 18:55 GMT36
Sunny, mid 50s, light wind, and the roads have been washed clean of sand
and salt--a perfect afternoon for the year's first serious top-down
jaunt into the Ozarks. We headed south for the Two-hour Loop, about 100
miles that include three of our favorite twisty backroads. The
good driving citations05 Apr 2006 17:46 GMT1
I can remember a while back reading about people being pulled over for
good driving and being commended for it in Travis County, TX, where most
of Austin is located. I had completely forgotten about it until I saw it
mentioned on the Saturday Night Live newscast.
2006 MX-505 Apr 2006 17:37 GMT26
I've read reviews of the 2006 Miata, woops MX-5 that talk, maybe
exaggerated, of it being new from the ground up, nuts and bolts
included. My question is, has anyone read the reasons behind such a
drastic redesign? Why would the designers mess with a great car with a
Shinsen 2003 opinions?04 Apr 2006 23:12 GMT3
I'm thinking about retiring my 96M and replacing it with a 2003
"Shinsen" edition.  AFAICT, it looks like a sport package with
special colors, but I can't find details anywhere (the 2003
brochure I've got doesn't mention it).  Is there someplace I
Who makes the MX5 & where04 Apr 2006 03:47 GMT5
We have a 2002 MX5 which was well put together and has been completely
reliable.
We are considering buying a new MX5 in 2007. Where are they built and by
who? Not all Mazdas are built in Japan and I am worried that Ford's
