| Body Flex | 08 May 2006 17:06 GMT | 3 |
Hi all. I'm new to the world of Miatas -- I just picked up a '91 with 97k miles on it. It came cheap from an insurance auction, but was surprisingly nice in and out. All that was required was replacement of the rear bumper, one new headlight motor, and some minor body

| Oil levels:just how far over the F is too much? | 07 May 2006 22:02 GMT | 11 |
I tried looking in the archives for precise information. I'm unsure if I should add to an old discussion or start a new one: this is one of the few times I've participated in a group discussion. (Please let me know if I have it wrong.)

| Changing the bulb in the tail light | 07 May 2006 21:12 GMT | 5 |
I had a brake light bulb burn out in my 2001 Miata. I have been trying to remove the tail light assembly without success. I removed the trunk inside trim and unbolted the two 10mm nuts and screw at the top of the assembly and the rubber wire gasket. The assembly is loose but ...

| Tranny & Rear Axle Fluid Change | 06 May 2006 19:38 GMT | 2 |
I am the proud owner of a white, very cherry 1990 MIata with 49,000 miles. It's a 5-speed. I was reading the manual last night, and it recommends changing the tranny and rear axle fluid at 6 yrs/ 60K. I am not sure whether this has ever been done or not (the records I have

| Radiator blew out | 05 May 2006 23:55 GMT | 28 |
Last night on the way home from work. Had to be towed to dealer. A little over $400 parts and labor. Leaked at the top, he said. Is this unusual? First time my '96 left me stranded. Of course, it's never been 10 years old before, either.

| 65mph HARD shake -- UPDATE | 05 May 2006 22:23 GMT | 14 |
Okay, some of you may remember about a month ago I wrote about a hard, almost violent, shake that was occurring in my '99 Miata from around 59 mph on up through 75 and even higher it many cases. Had new tires, freshly balanced, and just had alignment done. Most suggested it could

| removing half-shafts from torsen rear end | 05 May 2006 01:35 GMT | 2 |
I am taking the half-shafts off of my torsen differential and want to be certain that I am doing it correctly. Here is a picture of the assembly, it looks like I need to take the clips off, and I don't see a way to do that without damaging them, so I am assuming that you replace ...

| Advice on Purchasing a Miata Please | 04 May 2006 15:54 GMT | 7 |
I'm looking for am early model (1990-1995) Miata as a 3rd/summer car. I'd appreciate any advice on years to avoid, years to look for, things to look for as I'm looking at and test driving the car, etc. What are the commonly replaced items that I should find out whether they've been

| Radio problems | 04 May 2006 11:48 GMT | 3 |
So, just picked up a 1999 Miata. Run great and is in very nice shape, except the radio sounds like total crap. Radio stations which should be crystal clear (for example, NPR station being broadcast 5 miles away) are garbled (though scanner picks them out

| Warning stickers | 03 May 2006 22:31 GMT | 8 |
I realize that many Miata owners simply remove their sun visors because they are next to useless. However, for those of us that prefer to leave a little forehead padding for their next collision, is there a a good way to eliminate the warning stickers?? It looks like they would ...

| Owners manual | 03 May 2006 05:16 GMT | 7 |
I recently bought a 2000 Miata, 5-speed. Whoever cleaned the car out REALLY cleaned it out, so much so that I didn't get an owners manual. Can anybody tell me HOW MUCH of WHAT WEIGHT fluid is the full level of the

| Faded Paint | 03 May 2006 01:46 GMT | 12 |
I've got a '95 red Miata and the plastic nose/bumper has been faded/oxidized for some time now, and the car's performance seems to have slowed down the more it faded. Now it seems my Red Miata is being out-performed by the normally slower White Miatas. Bottom line...not good for ...

| Keep or sell cheap? | 02 May 2006 16:48 GMT | 2 |
I have a '97 Miata, with 93K miles on it. About 2 months ago, I started getting "random misfire" codes on the check engine light. Been there before, so I replaced the plugs and wires. 2 days later, the code came back. I took it to the local mechanic,
