Removing Softtop assembly etc from '0110 Dec 2006 03:03 GMT6
Guys,
After reading up on the hard top info (and since we now have two Miatas)
I'm considering converting the '01 permanently to a hard top.
I was thinking of:
Miata Radio10 Dec 2006 00:47 GMT20
We have a 1990 Miata that was purchased new. The car has been an
absolute dream to own. It only has 80,000 miles on it and is only
driven by my Wife who treats it like one of the children. The car is
always garaged and has NEVER given us any problems....just routine
Transferring Hard Top from '90 to '0109 Dec 2006 23:44 GMT2
I have a friend who has offered me the hard top from his Blue '90. Will
it fit my 2001? I was told it would. Do the seals / latches / bolts have to
be changed? Has someone written up a "How-To" on their web page?
Thanks,
93 CD player09 Dec 2006 16:34 GMT2
The CD player in my 93 (25th ann.) jumps the moment I hit a small bump on
the road. It just keeps on skipping, skipping and skipping. I tried cleaning
it but with no success. Any ideas.

Just for the record:
My OEM Panasonic AGM battery lasted 5 years.  So did the Westco replacement.
replacing rubber deck lock sheets on hardtop05 Dec 2006 14:01 GMT1
I have to replace the rubber seals on the two chrome assemblies that go over
the Frankenstein bolts.  I have the two new parts and they have rubber
extrusions that go into holes on the bracket to hold the gasket in place.
However, I have no information on whether some form of ...
Coolant boiling off in overflow05 Dec 2006 04:12 GMT3
OK, I couldn't find anyone with exactly this problem, so I thought I'd
post.
I have a 1994 Miata with 155k miles. I live in North Central Texas.
I noticed that my coolant overflow was showing up low or empty rather
Monitor ignition timing using OBD interface?05 Dec 2006 02:24 GMT7
My new 07 Miata is the first vehicle I've owned in a while that cared about
octane.  The last one, a Moto Guzzi from the 80s, was a real octane junkie.
I learned with that bike that octane numbers at the pump didn't necessarily
correspond to how the gas performed in my engine.  I ...
Brake and Rotor questions04 Dec 2006 15:26 GMT11
I have searched the past posts but still have some questions.
What is the avg mileage for brakes and rotors before they need
replacing?  I realize this varies but is there a ball park number?
Is it better to do the rear first or front first or does it even
Mazda Miata parts dealer online?04 Dec 2006 13:05 GMT5
I have a local Mazda dealer that refuses to sell me simple parts
without ordering them. The excuse is that they don't have the parts in
stock, but I'm sure their own mechanics have everything they need. The
last straw was when I asked for four bolts, the kind on the
2001 Horn Replacement Info04 Dec 2006 06:34 GMT1
Maggie Mae (My '01 Miata) and I have been getting along quite well as of
late. We just drove from South Louisiana to Flagstaff Arizona and back. That
was a beautiful and truly enjoyable trip.
I have been doing quite a bit of research on replacement horns. I decided
Mazda adds first power hardtop to MX-5 Miata roadster04 Dec 2006 02:20 GMT15

It's that time of year when dark clouds and cool winds of winter prompt
owners of the sprightly, two-seat Mazda MX-5 Miata convertible to start
to put away their cars until the following spring.
