Ride height09 Feb 2007 06:48 GMT2
Here's a bit of weirdness.
My 1997 car sat a bit higher at the front than at the rear, so I assumed
the springs had sagged.  I was given some springs from an earlier (1990)
car which measured exactly the specified free lengths and therefore

How long do the OEM Bilstein's last?08 Feb 2007 22:31 GMT13
I have 67,400 on my 2000 and I'm thinking the Bilstein's might be
getting to the end of their life. Is there a good way to test them?

Mixed Emotions - Sold my PRHT today07 Feb 2007 00:24 GMT13
It is with greatly mixed emotions that I report that I sold my '07 PRHT
Miata today. It just wasn't working out with us. She was a good girl... but
not completely my type.
I had called my dealer and expressed my dissatisfaction with the car.

99 Miata ?06 Feb 2007 16:34 GMT5
I am seriously looking for a nice 99 or 2000 Miata. I prefer the sport
option but any car with the popular equiptment option and air will do.
Mods are OK. I'll pay top Blue Book. I'm in CT.
Thanks

NA center console in NB?06 Feb 2007 15:21 GMT1
Does anybody know if you can unbolt the center console from a junkyard
NA and put it in an NB?  I really liked that little cupholder thing in
my '93; the compartment was very handy for things like pencils,
eyeglasses, bottle openers, etc., not to mention cups.  If I could

Anybody pulled the console out of an NC yet?  Can't find anything in the
Miata.net garage except:

From the Workshop Manual, but with no accompanying scans from said manual.
spark plug wire problem solved05 Feb 2007 18:19 GMT1
I had a problem with the spark plug wires recently on a 626. Car ran rough,
took it to autozone to get the codes read for free, misfiring on cylinder
3. Pulled plug, noticed a line on the porcelain. Replaced plugs, but engine
still ran rough. Examined the spark plug wire, resistance ...
Got Smoke05 Feb 2007 13:04 GMT21
My '90 developed a problem today that occurred once before (approx 3
months ago) but "fixed itself" before I could troubleshoot it. The
symptoms are huge amounts of white smoke blowing out the tailpipe and
very rough running. Smells like raw gas. The gas gage moved considerably

Folding hard top Miata impressions...04 Feb 2007 09:46 GMT19
Earlier today, I test drove a nice new Mica Red Metallic Miata with the folding
hard top (the car that was on display recently at the Washington DC Auto Show)
with the top both up and down.
The hard top is impressive, and leaves decent trunk space -- about the same
Shocks or struts?03 Feb 2007 03:42 GMT9
Pardon the probably very obvious question.  I'm planning to replace my
shock absorbers this weekend (as long as I get the job done before the
Bears get humiliated on the field!).  So I stopped by my local
autozone to make sure they had a spring compressor and the guy at the
