timing belt update29 Jun 2007 20:14 GMT2
Everything looks good except the timing belt. The camshaft spins, no
stuck tensioners, water pump looks good.
The belt looks great except for a clean break, I am guessing and hoping
it was defective.
HELP!28 Jun 2007 16:36 GMT13
My miata went from completely normal operation to no power at all. All
of the electronics appear to be ok.
The O2 sensor wire had come free and burned through the insulation on
the exhaust manifold.
I'd like to contact the Miata Club in Houston28 Jun 2007 03:41 GMT1
For the next year my family will be staying in southern California so that
my daughter can finish high school while I am living and working in Houston.
I'm leaving my Miata behind for my daughter to drive while I am gone and for
me to drive when I am back on alternating weekends. ...
How would you like to find this?26 Jun 2007 18:47 GMT22
Posted to the Austin list. This is supposedly a barn/storage building in
Portugal that was locked up and welded shut for at least 15 years. Worth
looking at for some of the old cars if you like them.
This would take forever to sort out, but what a fun job!

'90 w/ 96,000 miles
Purchased the car 2 wks ago.  Car is in stunning condition.
I suspect that the suspension/shocks may be worn. The car occasionally
bottoms out in the rear.  It also shudders on rough surfaces.  Front /
Water in the passenger footwell24 Jun 2007 23:13 GMT3
There have been a few torrential rains in the area recently. After the
rain storms, there was a substantial puddle under the passenger seat of
our 2006 MX-5. Where could it be getting in? It *seems* the water is
coming from under the bulkhead behind the seat.

Anyone have a 'handle' on converting the AC compressor oil in a 90
Miata from R12 compatible to R134a, etc.  Any hidden items/issues I
should be aware of, etc.
Whats been your experience in AC efficiency after conversion to R134a,
Squeaky Power Window24 Jun 2007 00:19 GMT1
The driver's side power window on my '90 Miata recently started squeaking
when lowered (and also moving slower than normal). Does anyone have an
advice for a fix?
Thanks!
Clunking noise during hard cornering in autocross event23 Jun 2007 23:17 GMT8
I have a 96 Miata with only 39K miles that I bought used a few months
back.  I was at an autocross event the past weekend and heard a
clunking noise a few times during my earlier runs during hard
cornering.  I didn't notice anything in my later runs, but I wasn't as

I'm looking at a 2002 with only 29,000 miles on it, in pretty good
condition and at a not-too unreasonable price.  VIN is
JM1NB353520234402 if someone can run it for me.
And it's red too. ;-)

If the range isn't sufficient I guess you could replace the batteries
with Energizers?  Then it would keep going and going and going and..
