Need a new top latch21 Aug 2007 05:08 GMT19
The passengers side latch on my 2000 doesn't lock into place
anymore. I'd like to replace it but they seem to be expensive. Over
$100 for a latch!! Ridiculous.... Anyone know of a cheap place to get
these. I can't see paying more that $20 for one (or an I just crazy).
What decent computer scanner to buy?21 Aug 2007 03:02 GMT10
My Mazda dealer wants something like 4130 to just hook
up the OBDEC scanner to see why my check engine light
is on!!
I've decided I can BUY a scanner just as cheap
Earthlink??19 Aug 2007 05:11 GMT17
Anyone know what is wrong with Earthlink?  I have 23,560 messages in this group
from them, dating back to 2003, and Agent thinks they are all new, and is ready
to fetch them all for me once more.
I wanted to reply to a 2003 joke by Lanny that was getting somewhat old, but
door lock sounds18 Aug 2007 15:08 GMT5
I have an 03 I just got it a few weeks ago.  I love everything about it
except I have a few questions I can't find in the manual.  How do I disable
the lights flashing and horn beeping when I lock and unlock the doors?
Also,  where the heck are the plugs and wires on this car?  They ...
Clunk after installing new sway bars17 Aug 2007 21:45 GMT19
I upgraded the factory sway bars on my 96 Miata with a pair of solid
FM bars.  Since then, I can hear a small clunk sound from my right
rear whenever I pull up a driveway, even at 5mph.  I've email FM
support and basically they asked me to recheck the torque and do more

Rear window browning17 Aug 2007 04:39 GMT8
I had previously posted that after more than 10 years, despite not
protecting my rear window, there was no sign of browning.  Well, there is
now.  I'm amazed how suddenly it came on in just the last few weeks.
Theres's a definite pattern: horizontal along the bottom with vertical ...

Haven't seen a post from you since mid-day of bridge collapse.
I hope that all is well with you as well as your friends and family in

27k miles on spark plugs abt right?12 Aug 2007 22:02 GMT10
My 2000 Mazda Protege has abt 27, 000 miles on the
spark plugs (copper ones I think).
The car seems to be idling rough.  Is 27k on a set of
plugs abt right? Time to change them out?
Dyno results: NB 1.8 with/without K&N Typhoon air intake12 Aug 2007 21:34 GMT15
As mentioned in an earlier thread I was gonna put my car on a dyno after
having fitted it with a K&N Typhoon Air intake kitand now I've had the
chance to do so.
But first a link to a guy which shows/explains exactly what it is a lot
security system12 Aug 2007 14:57 GMT2
My friend recently bought a '90 626 gt/turbo.
It has a security system installed, but no remote
of manual.  She is going on a x-country trip
and would like to know how to use it. She
ISO: Fix for loose spherical AC vents12 Aug 2007 14:54 GMT3
I recently purchased a 99 Miata - my first.  One nagging problem that's
been driving me nuts in the hot weather we're experiencing in North
Carolina is the little round AC vents that seem to have minds of their
own.  You set them like you want, then they just flop down to a ...

Recirculating CO08 Aug 2007 04:15 GMT9
I've had my '90B Silverstone (35k original miles) for 3 years
and in that time I've only had the top up a couple of times,
usually when it's too hot and I desire A/C.
On a recent short trip (top up, A/C on), I noticed an exhaust
