Brake thump - Update31 Oct 2007 03:52 GMT5
Well, after 2 weekends spent disassembling, cleaning, replacing pads,
clips, springs, shims, lubing caliper pins, etc., trying to get rid of the
brake thump on my '96, it's still there.
However, I've done some more digging.  In an effort to isolate front or

Miata NA and NB Top Frames30 Oct 2007 14:38 GMT2
I have a '95 Miata, purchased a couple years ago with what was reportedly a complete top from a 2000.
I now need to replace the top and want to make sure I order the right thing.  Anyone tell me a sure method of determining if I have an NB top frame?
Thanks.

It seems my car's been taking a bit longer to start these days and I'm
wondering if something's on the verge of failing. Tell me what ya'all think.

like it's having to turn over for a longer and longer time ...
Servicing Miata in Boston26 Oct 2007 15:22 GMT5
Any recommendations for servicing my Miata in the Boston or Greater Boston
region?
I would prefer a knowledgeable independent Miata specialist rather than a
dealer.
How to drive a Momentum Car like a Miata?26 Oct 2007 06:13 GMT12
I was over at Thunderhill a week ago.  One of the instructors said
that my line was perfect for a big horsepower car.
My question is, how does someone driving a Miata "think" about driving
around a turn?
Brake thump25 Oct 2007 16:58 GMT14
My '96 has developed a problem in that I get an occasional "thump" when I
apply the brakes.  I can usually create the thump when backing up and apply
the brakes.  It may do it again immediately afterwards when I apply the
brake while rolling forwards.  The thump seems to come ...

I broke off one of the 4 studs for mounting the rear sway bar
bracket.  It's the top one on the passenger side.  Does anyone have a
suggestion for what I should do?
I've tried sticking my head back there, but I can't tell if this stud

Where should worn tires go, fornt or back?21 Oct 2007 05:04 GMT24
Somewhere along the line somebody told me to always put the best tires on
the back because in case of a blow out, you have some control of the frount
through the steering, but on the back you have none.  So that's what I
alwasy did.  Today, at a tire store, in conversation, the ...
What is it?18 Oct 2007 22:54 GMT5
I'm trying to locate a part for a friend.  Specifically, it's the
plastic plate under the windshield wipers.  His is broken on one end
and he suspects it as the source of a leak.  He's got a '90, and a
six-inch section is missing from the passenger side.  I don't know
'92 doesn't crank18 Oct 2007 18:30 GMT9
I garaged my '92 in May in Florida, and then left until yesterday.  Last
night I tried to start it but the battery was dead.  I charged the battery
over night.  It is fully charged now.  Turning the key all's ok, fans spin,
dash lights go on, etc, but when I turn the key to the ...
Removal of climate control panel - need some advice17 Oct 2007 06:01 GMT7
Saturday, while taking a late afternoon drive, I discovered that the
control that directs the ventilation air flow no longer does so.  It
moves freely back and forth.
I've removed the center console and the trim around the radio/climate
