I find that when starting my 1999 NB 1.8 it takes about a second before
the engine fires up. Or to put in different words it takes just slightly

This seems to be regardless of ambient temperatures and only if the car

Darn impressive.

this something that can be visually inspected? Or should I rely on the
"squeal" sound?

Miata Batteries05 Jan 2008 03:42 GMT7
Well I finally did it. Just ordered myself a charger/maintainer for my
2000 Miata. Gets pretty cold here, especially in our garage, 94533
area. Not a snowy area, but never the less cold enough for us beach
bums>>LOL. And my Miata is lucky if it gets turned over once per week,
Pulstar Plugs04 Jan 2008 13:22 GMT6
Has anyone on the MB tried these new scam plugs?
I guess people are will to try anything new that comes out on the market.
The advertising claims are outrageous. Scam companies can make incredible
claims, and the suckers bite. Pulstar claims in several different ways that
Question on magnetic crank sensor setup for TEC304 Jan 2008 13:18 GMT6
My 1991 Miata with the Tec3 engine management system is not starting.
The engine cranks and shows oil pressure, but there is no response from
the tachometer.
The diagnostics on the Tec3 computer show the most probably cause to be
