Retrofitting a/c to a uk spec mk 1?09 Mar 2008 19:56 GMT2
I am thinking of doing the above, with a set of parts obtained from a
Japanese spec Mk1 (Eunos).
Can anyone offer any pointers please? I'm not sure how easy a job this
is. I found an article on miata.net, but that appears to be for a Mk2
Finding the jacking points on an NB with body cladding09 Mar 2008 17:26 GMT6
I've always felt the silver-gray body cladding on my 2003 Shinsen
edition looked nice, but it's apparently going to be a bit of a
hindrance to jacking the car up.  For one thing, it seems unlikely I'm
going to be able to use Lanny's trick of lifting one whole side with a
HELP! Transmission / Clutch08 Mar 2008 22:01 GMT6
All the sudden my car doesn't want to shift into reverse! I've had very
little problem with this in the past. An occasional; put it in first and
nudge forward, then go back into reverse ok but, I thought that was pretty
normal. It hasn't been doing it allot lately but when I got ...
P0421 code after O2 replacement08 Mar 2008 17:12 GMT4
A short while ago I replaced the front O2 sensor
after a CEL showed it was bad. Now (a couple
gas tanks later) I'm getting P0421, indicating
the front (pre-heat) cat has gone bad. Probably
Seeking Mechanic07 Mar 2008 22:44 GMT6
I have a 1994 Miata that I've had for the past 10 years. Ownership of
this car has been fabulous because it just about never gave me an
ounce of trouble... until last month. Last month I spent close to
$1000 on a tune up, new calipers, and a catalytic converter.
Moss Motors Heat Insulating Intake Gasket07 Mar 2008 00:27 GMT1
I was just browsing saferacer.com and saw this product for a Miata.
The performance gains of 5% sound like BS, but I was wondering if
anyone has experience with this?  It only caught my interest because
it's cheap and easy to install.
?? For Those Using Battery Maintainers??06 Mar 2008 12:25 GMT6
Do y'all find that using it only during the cold winter months is
adequate, pulling it off during warmer spring/summer/first part of
fall months. Or once you begin using it, do you just leave it hooked
up year round???
Picking out a few tools.  Your input welcome05 Mar 2008 16:41 GMT2
As ski season winds down and autocross season starts up, I've been
thinking about learning how to rotate (swap) tires myself.  Since
Sears is having a sale this week, and I don't have any of the
appropriate tools, I put 2+2 together and have started picking some
Convertible Top Latches Fix?04 Mar 2008 10:48 GMT10
My 1995 MIata has a lot of trouble latching the top down.  Usually I
have to keep it open and use a seperate cover when the weather demands
it.  Would replacing the latches with new ones solve the problem?  It
is a new vinyl top from Robbins, but I am wondering it the problem is
Crazy beemers04 Mar 2008 02:54 GMT49
Dunno whats up with Ebay. All I see anywhere else is people asking more and
more for them... 4-5000 for R75's and R90's, 10k for R90S's...
On ebay, watched a really nice looking R100S go for only $2800. Then a
questionable R100/7, that the guy "fixed himself", possible serious sun ...
Help with accelleration04 Mar 2008 00:03 GMT10
I'm a yutz when it comes to automotive repair so please bare with me.
95 MX with 95K.  It's had pretty good maint during it's life.  Turns
over with less than one rev of the engine.  However, after driving 4-5
miles, it spits and sputters.  Keeping the peddle to the floor, it
Are lightweight wheels a big win?02 Mar 2008 13:34 GMT3
Here is what good-win-racing.com has to say about it:
"Weight. The Mazda Miata is incredibly sensitive to what is called
unsprung weight (which can best be understood as what hangs off the
Miata suspension rather than what sits on it). I was surprised when I
My new Miata alarm01 Mar 2008 23:12 GMT9
This one only works at home. It is an external device that weighs 125
pounds and does not fit in the car while it is being driven.
I call it the "Chew Your a.s/Should Have Picked Another Miata"
series...... :-)
