Noticed after few minutes smoke coming from engine bay through

Rubbing from Instrument panel?27 Apr 2008 12:52 GMT13
I hear a rubbing that seems to be coming from the instrument panel.  It
changes with the car speed, not the engine speed.  My thought was that it
could be a speedometer cable gone bad but the speedometer registers smoothly
and I would think that if the cable was faulty then the ...
no start question for 199027 Apr 2008 03:15 GMT1
Following a winter in the garage with the battery removed my Miata
won't start. The battery has been fully charged. The car does not
crank. In fact almost nothing will work. The emergency flashers,
signal lights, wipers etc all won't work but the headlights do. Near

'99 MX-5 Antenna With a Mind of Its Own21 Apr 2008 20:29 GMT1
A CD got stuck in my CD player in my '99 MX-5.  After removing and replacing
most of the fuses under the dash, the CD finally freed itself, but the radio
panel light stayed on when the ignition was switched off.  Removing the
dashboard lights fuse under the hood solved that, but ...
Emissions Warranty21 Apr 2008 00:21 GMT1
I have a 2000 Miata with 58k miles.  The catalytic converter was recently
replaces under the factory warranty.  The engine light has come on again.
The error code appears to be an O2 sensor.  Would this also be covered by
the factory warranty on a car this old and with this ...

Sway Bar Link question18 Apr 2008 04:32 GMT19
I discovered a broken sway bar link on my 2003 Miata LS with 12K miles.  I
ordered a new one online, but now have concern over whether I ordered the
right part.
My question: my car came with what was termed 'sport suspension.'  Are all

Would you please re-post it?  Or even e-mail it to me?  Thanks!

'93 Miata heater control - repair or replace17 Apr 2008 05:33 GMT17
Last fall I posted that my heater/air flow/vent controls were not
working correctly.  Well, I took the console apart today and took out
the heater control.  I found that a cable guide for the air flow (?)
(vent/defrost/etc) control was broken off.
LOUD NOISE16 Apr 2008 17:31 GMT11
My 94 Miata has been making a loud noise for months. It happens when I
start up the car in the morning (or after it has been parked for a
while and I start it up.) The noise is more than likely the drive belt
(sometimes it will stop if I turn off the AC - sometimes it happens
Weird Question...11 Apr 2008 23:08 GMT25
When my Miata was vandalized and a few items stolen the @#&(*&^%s tried
to pull off the tonneau cover by brute force cracking the dash on the
passenger's side where the studs for the tonneau screw in and now
they've become very loose so....
