Well, I am new to group & MB,  I got a MB 260 (6 cylinders 2.6 Liter
engine) automatic model 91, with 130K KM odometer. Basically this MB
came from Germany to a hot climate (Environment).

Anyone know of if the CD's sold on E-bay are factory manuals?  I doubt they are
authentic, since they auction for $27, and cover a huge range of models.  

I've got a 1988 300TE 12 valve auto (UK model) and whenever the revs go over
4,000 (yes, I know - I drive it on Sport mode everywhere) I get a puff of
smoke.
Also, oil's being used up and there's a creamy deposit in the coolant

1970-something 220 D. Does anyone know if I can make a custom panel
instead? I wouldnt mind a bigger ashtray and a new panel with a bit of

I can't find it anywhere. I have a problem with signals and wipers and I

Whenever you buy a secondhand mb and you don't know when and how often oil
change has taken place before and you have an idea that the engine might be
dirty with sludge and soot then:
Change oil very very often for the next 10.000 kilometers.

I changed my radio yesterday and now I can only get one station. The antenna
is the rear window type I believe, does it have a fuse of some kind as I
know it will work.. Thx

Well, I will change the engine Thermostat, I came to know that there
are different temperature engine thermostats, can you please guide me

Just want to relay to all of you in US. There has been reports of people's
fuel gauge going crazy and not registering properly... therefore people run
