I was backing down the street rather quickly one day and heard a high
pitch whine that I usually hear going in reverse but the sound
continued as I went forward.  I then discovered that I was leaving a
pool of transmission fluid when I would switch the car into reverse.

I have a 92 300E, and to date have been able to do all the maintenance myself.
However, I now need to replace the water pump, which on my vehicle is held in
place by Allen bolts.  The water pump looks to be a pain in the butt to remove
without that added problem, and if it looks ...

comments on the 2001 C230 as far as reliability, etc?

My wiper relay is bad on my 92 300SL.  Can you buy them used, but working?

The closing aid on my 500SE (W140) always works on all doors but the
drivers. If I remove fuse 9 from the trunk then replace it the driver's door
soft shut will also work. However after a journey it no longer works and
must be reset again. Does anybody have a solution to this ...

Now, I've driven the new R230 SL600 earlier to-day. It took about 10
minutes to find the right seating position to fit my 6'8" physique with
enough head and leg rooms. I'm so happy I could fit in the SL600! What a
pleasure to drive the car with 500-horsepower V12 motor. So smooth ...
