I have a 1979 350SE which is pretty much in showroom condition, a couple of
minor interior controls let it down, I need two vent buttons, black with an
arrow on it and the plastic which surrounds the fan knob.
Anyone any bits?

I learned a little late that it is a bad idea to reset the trip
odometer while in motion.  Now the odemeter works perhaps every three
times I drive.  Neither odemeter works as it should now.  I have read

Could you assist with a quick query?  I recently bought the above with
180.000 miles - super condition.  The oil pressure gauge shows 1 (out
of 3) at all times, excpt if stationery it drops to 1/2.  I didn't
notice this on the test drive........  Is this normal?

I just saw that the CV Boot has been ripped away on my '83 380SEL at the
differential.
How hard is it to replace?
Did all my differential fluid leak out? What do I put in diff?

i have a 1990 300e........it started leaking coolant the other day so i
decided to see if i could find out where it is coming from..
Checked all the hoses first, no leaks.
It seems to be coming from the front of the motor on the side of the

 I recently bought a 1999 E320 that seems to have been well taken care of.
The only problem I now know of is, the backup light dont work.  I've checked
the bulbs and fuses.   I'd try bypassing the switch if I knew where it was.
 I'd sure appreciate hearing from anyone who knows ...

I have posted here many times and found all of you experts helpful.  I am
23 years old and own 2 mercedes, a 89 300E and a 1987 300D, which my
girlfriend uses.  My 300E has 125,000 miles on it and runs great,
eberything works good.  I am going to probably get a 99 or 00 E320 by the

I have a 1999 C230 with 75,000 miles, and the paint is bubbling up and peeling.
It looks really nasty.  In some parts it's flaking off.  What causes this?  
How much would it cost me to have a new valve cover replaced?

Anybody?
I just parked and washed my car (1997) and the key won't turn in the
ignition. I moved the steering wheel untill the column locked and still, no
turn. Tried all keys including Valet? Hopeing I don't have to call the

I need to verify the Engine SN on my SL320. I have looked in all the common
places with no luck.
I recently had to replace the belt and much to my surprise it requires the
one for the S320 engine.
