I have 215/55/60 tires now. Could I just put 2 215/60/16 snow tires for
the back wheels during winter season? Is it safe on highway driving at all?

I assume that you've all seen the 2005 C55 (little C-class with a big V8).

The electronic locks in my 93 400E work intermittently, it will not open or
close all doors from the driver's lock.  The radio also stops working when
the locks don't work.  Any ideas out there?

My wife's  91 190E 2.6 makes a whirring sound that rises and falls with
engine rpm. The belt seems to be fine. I was wondering about the timing
chain ? Anyone have any ideas. Also when is it prudent to change the timing

My car '80 300TD would not shift into high (40 mph max).  Donor car is '81
300TD (what it says on the outside).  While removing engine & tranny I says

Here's one for the A/C experts. I've converted my '81 300D over to R134. Did
a switch of the drier, drew system down to about 30", etc. Everything seemed
to function fine for several months. However, now when the engine gets past
idle, the cold air from the vents begin turning warm ...

This is a 1982 Meredes 240D with manual transmission.
When the key is turned off the engine continues to run for as much as a
minute. The vacuum system appears adequate because the power brakes
operate normally. Does anyone have an idea about the cause?
