84 mercedes 300TD/ no power01 Sep 2004 18:09 GMT4
I just acquired this stationwagon which has no power when driving off or
when accellerating and it blows black smoke from the exhaust at that time.
When I cruise at any speed it runs ok. Upon checking the engine I found
the vacuum line from the intake manifold connected directly to ...
'81 300D - Ft. Laud01 Sep 2004 12:14 GMT5
I have a 4dr 300D '81.  Runs well but just found a radiator leak.  New tires,
new converted a/c (R134).  Some body rust.  I don't need this car anymore
however I want to sell it to someone who will care for it as much as we did.  I

Light bulb longevity01 Sep 2004 07:05 GMT4
We own a Lexus LS400 that we've had since 1993. It has been fabulously
reliable and we'll probably never sell it.

points to see if the frame was out of alignment on my '81 240D. The
diagional dimensions were only about 1/8-inch different so the frame is
obviously okay. I still think that somehow those two rear wheel ...

1991 190e, high idle01 Sep 2004 04:51 GMT8
I just replaced my water pump and everything went well. I had to not drive
it for about 10 days, now, when I do, it seems to idle awfully high.  Any
ideas?
thanks
Gripe ~01 Sep 2004 01:52 GMT10
Howdy, all - from a longtime reader and sometimes poster.
If you all will entertain me, I need to post a gripe about an unpleasant
Mercedes Dealership experience here in the Detroit Area.
I've got a '74 240D (yes, with an auto trans and LOTS of patience).  Over
