Trying to change the O2 sensor. It is under the passenger seat, in the exhaust pipe, pointing up. I have the special O2 sensor socket and can get it over the sensor. But the top of the socket is up in the shaft hump next to the shaft and I can't get the 1/4"

| Vacuum Pump Conversion | 23 Sep 2004 01:49 GMT | 6 |
Is there an electric vacuum pump conversion for the '81 300TD Turbo or has anyone ever done this? Even if there was never a conversion kit, I'm thinking I could gather the parts to do this cheaper than fixing my current pump.

After having recently charged my original A/C compressor with oil (the system was blowing cold already), about a week later it seized. When I removed it, it was dry...no oil. And the system was still blowing cold as it seized -- the R134a hadn't leaked out. People told me for

I have an 86 300SDL with a hole in the resonator, or center muffler. The rear muffler is fine. I once had a truck with the same problem, and ended up just having the resonator removed and running the pipe directly to the rear muffler. The loudness increased just a tad which I ...
