I am noticing 'sponginess' when applying the break pedal on my 1989 560SEL.
I don't think it is due to air in the brake line. There is no noticable
leaks that I can see. Can anyone tell me the correct procedure, or what

I bought a Merc C220 Saloon Sport L reg from a local garage about 2 years
ago now.
I know the guy well who owns the garage but I don't think his mechanics do a
good job on servicing my car.

I have a 1987 560sl and the odometer and trip meter has stopped at
104K.  Is it that a gear has broken, and dose any one know where I can
find parts?  The internet is full people selling odometer gear kits

I have an 82 300sd turbo diesel. There is a solenoid mounted near the
driver side firewall that my local mechaniic said was safe to just
always bypass. One mechanic said it is electrically activated by a
signal from a pressure sensor on the intake manifold that senses

It seems that the electronic braking system in my 04 E320 has begun to
interfere with the AM radio. When I apply the brakes when the car is in
motion, the AM radio becomes all static. When I either release the pedal, or
the car comes to a full stop, then the reception goes back to ...

    What should I be looking for in buying a 1980 M116 300SD?
    What  problems are prevalent in this model?
    How much does it cost to fix them?
    I try to work on cars myself.

On the way back from work today, as I was pulling up to take a left, a car
on my right overtook me and flicked what I assume a pebble.
Got out of the car to see a dent and deep scratch just above the rear wheel
arch.

the welding area on the front and back muffler is pretty rusty. I heard from
a mechanic that one can spray on alluminum paint directly on the rust areas
to seal it off from further rusting.

I just leased a new 2005 S430 and was surprised that MB USA did away with
the free scheduled maintenance program.  When I got my 2000 E320 in October
1999, I think that was when they rolled out the program to justify the
increase in prices.  What happened for the 2005 Model Year?

1988 190e  Drivers door will function alone fine.  It will not close or open any of the others though.
The door will function as it should from any of the othe locations, lock and unlock as it should along with the rest of the locks.  I would like a bit of input before I tear into ...

Trans will not shift after I hit passing gear. stays in low gear.  help

I'm getting this odd rumbling from about 30 mph through 50 mph in my 300TD
Turbo. It may have always done this since I got the car, but I haven't
noticed it as much until lately because it's gotten cooler outside and I've
been keeping the windows up and the roof closed.

The center console switch lights (antenna, sunroof, etc.) do not illuminate
when the head lights are turned on.
Seems strange that none of them illuminate.  Only the rear defrost light
illuminates on when I switch the defrost on.

Anyone know what size hex head fits the torque converter drain plug on an
'81 300TD Turbo?

I noticed a rattle under my W124 300TDTurbo when idling. Could that be the
flex disc or some bearing from the driveshaft??
