I have a 1990 420SEL with the original Becker radio. Lately, when the car is
cold, I have no driver's side audio for about 10-15 minutes until the car
warms up. Rotating the fader does not solve the problem.
Just to get me on the right track, a couple of questions: Is the amplifier

after having the starter replaced <it  needed it> now the glow light
will not lite up on the dash.
there is voltage going to the plugs at the realy on the pin side <5>
the glow plugs check out <replaced one> but unless i plug in the block

Reading about other people's winscreen wiper issues reminds me that I (may)
have one on my 2001 CLK (Cab).  The service adviser at the dealership could
not comment but offered to have it examined at next service (which is still
a long way off).

THe rear door window glass has become disconnected somehow from the arm that
drives it up and down, so it was just falling down all the way. I had to
open up the door  to prop up the window glass with a stick as a temp repair.
I could not figure out how to get the inner door panel ...

I am looking for a replacement radio/cassette for my beloved 560SEL.
It's a Becker 1480.  Seen a few on Ebay but they look pretty rough.  There
are other models like the 780 that appear similar.  However, it's my
understanding that they are not interchangeable.

How does the fuel tank normally ventilate when there is a non ventilating
tank stop fitted?? When I remove my tank stop I hear "psst" as if the tank
is vacumed, and that is not good I guess.

The core on the door lock of my 300D is getting really hard to turn - I
have tried tri-flow and a host of other lubricants on it, and judging
