| 380SE: Alarm goes off every time I open the car | 15 Oct 2004 14:49 GMT | 2 |
Hi, I'm told that I can stop this if I look under the floorboard on the passenger side and unplug the alarm from the amplifier. I took up the rug, and I see a piece of plastic screwed on, and also a long thin panel on the right.

| ACC Heater servo replacement - 1980 300TD | 15 Oct 2004 14:46 GMT | 10 |
YES, another servo problem. I've got the servo nailed as being the culprit. My VOM reads 3 ohms in "park", 3 in hot, and 1485 in cold. The motor will move (takes 5-10 secs for full travel) but heat/cold control is erratic. Now, George Murphy at Performance Analysis Co.

| 300 CE-24 Engine problem | 14 Oct 2004 20:15 GMT | 9 |
I replaced the (blown) head gasket and now the engine runs OK but smokes like a Russian Army tank. It was running perfectly before the gasket blew when I attempted to start it. I would suspect a broken ring except the compression in the cylinder

| Does antenna have to use original switch? | 13 Oct 2004 22:56 GMT | 20 |
My '82 300SD has a newer radio but the antenna doesn't work. I'm wondering if someone tried to rewire the antenna motor control to the radio and maybe this doesn't work. Does the antenna motor have to remain controlled by its original control switch to go up and down

Regarding different kinds of oil as fuel and as engine oil; no harm it seems and surely other types of oils can also be used in the engine as lubricant. http://groups.google.dk/groups?q=chain+oil+diesel+engine&start=10&hl=da&lr=&selm =3e2be015.12516348%40news.clara.net&rnum=15
