C180 Central Locking30 Nov 2004 21:03 GMT4
I have 1996 Model C180. Both my keys no longer trigger the central
locking/Alarm and I have to manually unlock the doors. Does anyone know
of a way to reset the keys to the car frequency or do I have to take
them to a Merc Dealer.
non working defrost30 Nov 2004 20:12 GMT2
Rear window defrost does not work. Checked the fuse and it is ok.
What could be the problem? I know a mechanic changed the fuse on the OVP
relay 3 weeks ago. Coul he had moved something by mistake?

Location of W124 flasher relay30 Nov 2004 18:01 GMT3
My turn signal sometimes doesn't flash, but just stays lit. I've noticed
that this mostly happens while the car is tilted to the right. I assume
that this is due to the flasher relay being worn out?
I've tried to locate the flasher relay, so I could test and replace it,

Mercedes service headaches30 Nov 2004 17:12 GMT6
Ok, my family has always owned all American cars, as far back as I can
remember, and we tend to keep cars for about 10 years.   After having a
re-occurring timing-belt issue on a particular Chevrolet, in 1999 we happened
upon a used 1997 E420.  Bought it, our first "foreign" ...

Looks like the administer may need to add anti-spyware software.
This has been getting bad enorgh on a national level for the FCC to be proposing
a bill dealing with the internet spying software ....scooping up addresses ,etc.

Cost for navigation DVD Europe?30 Nov 2004 14:54 GMT1
Anyone know the cost for a new upgraded navigation DVD for Command APS,
Europe? It is supposed to be upgraded every year. Considering the cost for
the Command APS one might think the upgrading costs would be merely
symbolic.
Augh! Someone using my name!30 Nov 2004 13:46 GMT7
Man... someone is spamming this newsgroup with my name... Anything other
than Mercedes is not me.
ceramic  pads - very nice!30 Nov 2004 01:05 GMT19
Put some PBR Ultimate Ceramic pads on my 81 300td - very good braking, VERY
clean.  Well worth the few extra bucks, IMO, not to have that black crud
all over the rims.  FWIW
Speaking of rims, does anybody know who might sell them?  Mine have all
'85 280SE oil usage29 Nov 2004 20:23 GMT10
thanx for the advice on the hard shifting transmission.
I'm back with another question.
I just replaced the air filter (which was probably needed), and noticed
that the engine uses oil. I did not have the time to change the oil, but

The Right Mercedes???29 Nov 2004 17:29 GMT7
I think I have come to the right place. First, let me say I know
absolutely zero about Mercedes automobiles. This means I don't
know one model from another also.
I have a hunch the Mercedes automobile is a fine machine. I would
Manuals?  CD?29 Nov 2004 17:15 GMT10
I've got a 2001 E320, but MB claims they won't sell the manual set in
paper or on CD till the warranty period is over.  Are there any other
sources for this kind of thing?
Thanks!
