I've got some free time coming up next month and I'm considering making
the move to running SVO, using either the Greasel or Greasecar
conversion units... after all Rudy himself ran his first diesels on

Touchy Brakes on E5517 Nov 2004 21:42 GMT2
I recently had the brake booster replaced(dealer diagnosed) on my 99 E55
to correct what I would call spongy brakes. I am comparing this E55 to
my 300E braking experience.  The 300E brakes are firm, have marginal
travel and actuate the braking force with at a predictable pressure ...
RE: ML320 - 2000 Rear brakes, disk and drum combo?17 Nov 2004 20:47 GMT2
I recently replaced the rotor and disk brake pads all around on my
ML320 and was surprised to find the rear rotors contained a set of
drum brakes as well.  Are these solely for the purpose of the parking
brake?
1994 SL500 Soft Top17 Nov 2004 17:22 GMT3
Hello everyone...
I brought my 1994 SL500 to the dealer because the soft top switch
light and 'beeping' would not go off (the top was up and locked, but
it wasn't recognized as being up).  They said that it was the soft top
1979 240D excessive oil consumption17 Nov 2004 12:41 GMT14
Okay I've got a 1979 240d that has plenty of power (for a 240D),  runs
smoothly and has none of the usual outward signs of low compression.  Always
starts on cold days, no oil residue at the tail pipe and like I said pretty
decent power.  I have changed my valve cover gasket and oil ...
Position of CLK class in Mercedes lines17 Nov 2004 07:21 GMT9
What is everyone's impression of where the CLK class is placed in the
range of Mercedes products:
1) parallel to the E class; or
2) below the E class and above the C class?

I need to get at a wiring diagram to see the wiring between the ignition
key, the main lighting switch and the fuse box.  Is there one on line
E50016 Nov 2004 02:31 GMT8
I have been offered a great deal I think. There are a couple of concerns I
have....
Its a 1994 E500 with 70 k on the clock.
Bodywork and performance are both excellent.  Actually the performance is
Replace carbon filters in 2001 E320 Wagon?15 Nov 2004 23:28 GMT3
I bought the filters myself, thinking it would be easy to find them,

said he had a tutorial, but his @home.com account is defunct, is he
still around?
95 S320 Windows acting strange...help please15 Nov 2004 15:29 GMT2
Living in the south, I rarely put the windows down in the car except
for the occasional visit to the drive thru fast food place or the
drive up teller in the bank.
Today I went to lower the passenger side front window and found that
Clutch Problem 190E14 Nov 2004 18:55 GMT1
Anyone know why I might be having the following issue with the clutch on a
1993 190E. When I press the clutch in, sometimes it won't come back out
again, and I need to pull it up myself. Seems to be working fine otherwise.
Thanks
