1987 300E Cold Start Frustration10 Nov 2004 21:39 GMT13
New to me 1987 300E.  Runs beautifully when it finally gets going.
Misearable to start when motor is cold.
When cold, I can eventually get it started by repeated cranking attempts
without touching the gas pedal.  This morning, it took about 20 times
replacing switch on climate control unit10 Nov 2004 21:11 GMT3
I need to replace the EC button on the climate control unit in my 380SE. Do
those come off without any uninstallation, or do I need to take the wood
paneling off and then take apart the climate control unit?
Thanks,
Difficulty starting car when cold10 Nov 2004 18:48 GMT4
I have a 1991 190e and I'm having difficulty starting the engine in the
morning. I have to crank for a while.  When it's warm, it starts right up.
Any ideas?  In the morning when I have a hard time starting, there is a
small bit of white smoke that I haven't noticed before.

1980 300CD center support bearing question10 Nov 2004 04:13 GMT6
I recently had the transmission rebuilt in my 1980 300CD.  The transmission
shop called me right after they had the trans back into the car.  At that time
they said that my driveshaft center support needed replacement.  I thought they
replaced both the rubber support and the bearing ...

Coolant Leak 300e10 Nov 2004 00:47 GMT3
My 300E has been leaking from the top radiator hose. I feared that I
may have the dreaded broken radiator neck syndrome, but I removed the
hose this morning and the neck seems to be intact.
I did notice that the lip at the end of the neck only goes around half

NO Acceleration - 2001 CLK430 Cabriolet09 Nov 2004 15:55 GMT2
I've had the strangest problem I have ever experienced. It started when I
made a right turn and it suddenly felt that the motor had cut out, except I
still had power steering and brakes and the rpm's were about 1,500. The car
simply would not accelerate. It was at idle RPM's but ...
