problem:  Several days ago I went out to the car  (1985 300D in great
shape) to leave for work.  This car normally starts right up.  This day

My 1985 380SE was in the shop for a water pump and fan clutch, and while it
was in, my dad had called them asking them to make sure it was safe to drive
(meaning it won't collapse on me - since it has a ball joint that they said

Would a W126 500 SE engine fit in a R107 ?24 Dec 2004 15:14 GMT2
I have an opportunity to buy an early '80s 500 sl convertible with a
broken engine (it has no cyl. heads, they are gone).  However I do
have a (running) engine + gearbox from a W126 500 se.  Would this
engine fit in the convertible and would it be a straight forward job?

1966 Mercedes 200S, should I get it?24 Dec 2004 05:24 GMT25
Hi, I have an opportunity to get a really cheap (around $1000) 1966 200S, 2L 4cyl
gas. The car is supposedly fine mechanically, it passed what we call AirCare here. It
requires a new clutch, that's about it for serious work. Is this a car for which parts
are hard to get? It is ...
No need for black front wheels anymore24 Dec 2004 04:44 GMT1
I recently replaced my front brake pads on my 124.133 with Rotex Gold brake
pads that have no black graphite in them and do not make my front alloy
wheels black. I bought them for $58 from coximport.com. There is no
difference in stopping power from these pads even in the wet. P.
